Language localization

I would like to translate certain parts of my mod into different languages and have 3 questions concerning this:

1. which languages is Oblivion released in other than English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian?

2. How do you include the strange characters of languages like Russian inside the editor? They currently just show as ????? instead.

3. Considering Russian (and possibly other languages) have the game setting as if they're English (iLanguage:Controls), is there a way to check which is used?

Thanks in advance.

& Polish - but for Polish version it is only an ESP file with translated texts, also xml menus and fonts are modified for Polish region.

2. How do you include the strange characters of languages like Russian inside the editor? They currently just show as ????? instead.

You mean Russian characters in CS do not display properly while typing them in or only after reloading translated ESP?
In first case it may have something to do with current system fonts. For Polish, if I can use Polish regional characters in MS Word, Notepad etc., I can also use them in CS. Regional characters in the game are a matter of both FNT (font) and TEX (font texture) files.

Thanks for your response. Considering you require different fonts for different languages, it seems impossible to support all languages within the same esp. I'll just have to stick to the basic 5 then.

Oblivion is also available in Japanese. There's a patch out there that allows North American/European copies of oblivion to display japanese kanji from japanese mods, but it makes all of your fonts go weird. On the surface the patch appears to conflict with OBSE, forcing the player to choose between one or the other, but as I recently learned, this is not the case. All you have to do is take the .dll files from the japanese patch and put them into your OBSE/Plugins folder, and Oblivion will automatically be able to display Kanji.
