Language skills

Post » Thu Apr 07, 2011 12:55 am

I would really like to have communication with monsters be enabled though a language skill, much like the one that was in battlespire. I suppose it's far too late to ask for things as the suggestions threads we're at their useful peak over a year ago.

Nevertheless, some sort of rudimentary communication with creatures like trolls, Reiklings, Goblins (esp. goblins), and those new mountain giants would be a wonderful and new experience for many players.

Edit: I remember playing Final Fantasy: Tactics (on PS1) and enjoying the Mediator job class immensely. Recruiting monsters, confusing, distracting etc. Most of it is covered under illusion but I suppose my heart will always want to put on a fancy suit and talk my way though a dungeon.

Kindest wishes,

you do know there is going to be 3 less skills than in Oblivion right?

language skills were in daggerfall, but I think they got removed because it was redundant

There will be even less skills than in oblivion, so I don't think we'll see them in skyrim. Also, the skill was useless in daggerfall, I don't see how it could be useful this time.
