Laser or Plasma? : Fallout: New Vegas

To all of you Energy Weapon junkies out there, which type do you prefer? The fast and accurate laser, or the powerful and pretty plasma?

I, myself prefer my fully-modded Laser Rifle.

Why they both svck in NV

However Plasma cause it killed people faster

But if Gauss was a choice that would be the second place winner cause the Alien Blaster would have came in first

laser because in fallout 3 the gatling laser was my favorite weapon

Boy thats a tough choice. I like the laser rifle better than the plasma rifle (laser rifle is faster and more accurate). But I much prefer the plasma pistol to the laser pistol. (this is going off both Fallout 3 and New Vegas though).

All in all I think Id have to go with Plasma and especially plasma in New Vegas.

Both are acurate I can hit ghouls in 1 shot from about 40 feet away perfectly while there moving with plasma

In FO3, Plasma was the obvious winner but in New Vegas, I've been drawn to the Laser weapons myself. Something about having a Shotgun Laser Pistol just feels... right... you know? That and a laser weapon that fires green beams... wow I must be attracted to oddities.

I don't use either to nearly the extent I did in Fallout 3, but Plasma all the way.

Laser, higher crit chance + Laser Commander perk makes it way better than plasma.

Tri-beam laser rifle +max charge.

Stupid amount of damage at a ridiculous output.

Both are pretty viable after the patch. I refer using plasma because I like leading.

Definitely Plasma!

They are not so fast, but even the Plasma Defender deals more damage than the Laser Rifle! :vaultboy:

Neither of them feels right.
Both feels incredibly tweaked to play nice with it's little brother Guns...
Pulse Gun and Gauss Rifle feels right, the rest can [censored] right off.

But in the "OLD" games... I'd take Laser.

Math wrath and plasma spaz.. -20% AP cost for plasma weapons. So yes, plasma.

But lazer can also be good. With the right perk

I do have those perks, even with it, most of the plasma weapon consume way more AP per shot than their laser counterpart, the only plasma weapons worth to use then would be the Plasma Caster and Plasma Defender.

Like someone said once in this very forum, they made the wrong perks for energy weapons, they gave dmg boost to laser when it was supposed to be a fast firing low damage type instead of plasma, the supposed slow heavy punch kind of damage.

PLASMA is better tech and does more damage but has a slow firing rate.
LASER is a lot more accurate but does little damage..

Plasma wins!
