Laser Sight Misalignment

Post » Wed Dec 01, 2010 8:18 pm

When I attatch a laser to my gun it doesn't center, but goes to the left. If I shoot from the hip, it fires to left, but when I ADS, it shoots straight. When I take the laser off, my gun then shoots straight from the hip and iron-sight.

I am guessing this is because I play a higher FOV than the default. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

From what I seen - yea, it's the way it works.

BTW: I still can't understand why would anyone use a Laser Sight - feature that paints huge long red line leading right towards you. It's like painting "Shoot here" orange on your back and adding red blinking light on the helmet.

It caps the spread by a tremendous amount.
But yeah, the way laser sight works is confusing, from beginning to end.

I would find it useful for the handguns when playing on pro mode, like when extracting ticks or relays. I have no problem aiming w/o a crosshair firing from the hip while power jumping, but it would make aiming a lot easier/efficient for when those times you have only a split second to react.

I didn't unlock the laser sight on any pistol except the Majestic and gave it a try.
Holy smokes man. When you shoot in order to hit, you need to aim a fair bit to the right of your beam. Moved it off right after the next game lobby -_-

Anyone knows if it is that way as well on the other pistols?

There's also a Gauss Attachment misalignment.

So I put one on my AY69 yesterday and it was aligned perfectly, but for the handguns its still off center.
