Kritikal i was just wondering how do the mage hunters know your a mage? Do they come door to door to check you? Or do they have ways of rooting them out? I was just wonderign because it coudl hel pthe mage hunters rp.

Mage Hunters have an amulet called a Harklem. These are one of the only sources of magicka left and are able to detect other sources. I was going to wait to reveal that but I guess it only makes sense to tell you guys now.

Where have you been anyway? Your assassin missed all of her fun...

Ya things got pretty crazy around here, I had to drop from the forums for a while until things cooled down.

I think I'll give this one a shot. You're still taking sheets, right?

(Just joking. Don't take it as a flame moderators. Jerod is awesome, he's my forum buddie. It's just a joke).

...

There are no Argonians in Fallout though D:

EDIT: I'll probably go with a magick-sympathizer but someone that doesn't use it himself. A scientist if you will, armed with a steel crowbar and a monocle, and apparently a mute :P

I got accepted so this is my character sheet.

Name: Ocrandes Nefender
six: Male
Age: 22
Race: Imperial

Skills: Ocrandes is well known for his ability to grasp the arts of most magics. He will not use conjuration because he hates undead, and daedra. He also has been known to be well trained with a blunt weapon. He

Physical Appearance: Ocrandes is 5’10 tall. He is horribly scarred. The scar covers half of his face. He tries not to show his face to people because he is frightening. Ocrandes has an averagely built body. He can barely see out of the scarred part of his face.

Clothing: He wears a set of iron armor and a mask to seem like a normal warrior.
Weapons: Steel warhammer, 2 healing scrolls, An assortment of spells.

Mental Description/Personality: Ocrandes is not very social and likes to keep to himself. He only interacts with people if he has to.

Brief History: Ocrandes grew up in Bruma. He never knew his parents and was adopted into a family of dunmer. They were very loving of him and took care of him. Ocrandes’s adopted father had a gambling problem. A man who he owed money to burst into his house firing spells left and right. One of the spells hit his father killing him instantly. The man saw Ocrandes and picked him up and knocked him out. When Ocrandes woke up, he was in the middle of a daedric cult ritual. He undid the bonds on his hands with a spell his brother taught him and jumped off the altar. A stunted scamp shot a fireball right into Ocrandes’s face searing his flesh. The attack left him scarred and injured. Ocrandes ran past the scamp and ran outside the cave. Ocrandes ran until he could run no more. He collapsed unconscious. He awoke in a cave. A strange white glow was coming opening of the wall. He slowly stood up and walked towards the light. When he entered he saw a woman in a glowing white robe. She held out here hand and Ocrandes started to walk towards her. Suddenly she sent a white burst of energy into Ocrandes. Ocrandes felt rejuvenated. The woman told Ocrandes to fire a spell into the wall. Ocrandes shot a fire spell into the wall and blew a hole in it. He was amazed. When he looked over at the Woman she was gone and in her place was a daderoth holding a steel warhammer. Ocrandes was outraged at the Daedroth. He fired a powerful spell and destroyed it. Ocrandes hates all undead and daedra creatures and will not do anything that has to do with them.

Albert he had the knack to conjure up lightning very well, but one late night an accident happened, he overcharged his ablitlity store lightning and unleashing it, he practiced it and did over again till lightning spewed into the sky, alerting the Bruma Guard and creating a becon for them to follow, when found out by the city watch, his entire family was gathering what they could to run away, Albert and his Uncle left before anyone else, Albert stayed behind and watched his home, family and the entire camp be cleared out by Bruma Soldiers and militia, he is one of the few remaining members of his family, taught to use magicka by his uncle they both managed to survive in a near-magic cleared world, Hes a Magic Sensetive person, if he uses magic it hurts his hands, his mind and sometimes exhuasts his physical strength and magical strengths so he doesnt use magic in the public, if used in the public he knows what to do, he knows potential magic users when he see's them, ordinary people who dont know how to use magicka, and few people who use it, but have hid it their entire lives, Albert one day hoping to rally these unsuspecting magic users together, hoping to teach the lost ways of magic to those who are willing to learn, his uncle resides in the jeral mountains in a hut, all his life he knew magic users were wanted people, he murdered guards, and soldiers to keep hiding, telling Albert that he is wanted for magic using, he has used magic only a few times, in small towns and once in Bruma, but he always manages to stay hidden. Albert, infamous for riding his horse Lebros at night earned him the name Dusk Rider or just Dusk, Albert is the name he uses in the Day, he is a wanted man and is only known by Dusk. in the hutt his uncle lives in he keeps many scrolls and books of magicka that were not burned or destroyed, he plans to copy every page and scroll down when he completes his collection, if dead by old age or murdered he gave explicit instructions to Albert to carry on his work. For Years he gained allies, his uncle is a life time friend to Gregory Treall, and Albert's Uncle helps ordinary people by giving them temperorarly housing and supplies if they come to him, basicly adventurers, rare to find magic users to come across his camp, Albert also trained in the fighters guild but quit after basic training as an aprentice, he can hold his own in a fight, he kept his secret to summon lightning a secret to the public his entire life, but has only shown his allies and his uncle, but both him and his uncle are magic users of lightning.

He is currently in the Bruma Caverns, making the place his hide-out, secret and right under the Bruma guards noses. the deep caverns mask his magic sensativity from mage hunters and magicka users. right now hes awaiting a letter from his uncle.

Name: Shin-jah
Age: 31
Race: Khajiit

Appearance: A large 6'4" Cathay-raht Khajiit. His fur is solid black with gold spots speckling his back, the nape of his neck, and his shoulders. His eyes are a deep green color. He has no head-hair, like the Ohmes-raht do. Instead he just ties a few thick, colored knots to his head. His fur has grown VERY thick and shaggy from living in the cold Bruma climate for a while. Think of a http://ih2.redbubble.net/work.2779688.3.flat,550x550,075,f.snow-leopard.jpg.

Clothing/Armour: Shin-jah wears a very fine Arabian-esque shirt and pants, both are brown and slightly worn looking. He also wears a very thick red sash about his waist, on it are hung a few different pouches for carrying septims, herbs, and a couple secrets. Over this he wears a leather cuirass, a single bronze pauldron on his left shoulder, bronze greaves, and leather chaucers. On his head he just wears a very thick headwrap. He usually wears a thick plain brown robe that hangs about his shoulders, while traveling through town or long distances.

Weapons: His primary weapon is an iron scimitar, the blade is about 2 1/2 inches wide, the grip and pommel are both made of solid bronze, wrapped in red leather, into which the blade is skillfully and sturdily attached to. He also carries a simple pistol and a long rifle, nothing to fancy. His skill with either is very moderate, and the time in which he uses them is rare, only when in serious need. Shin-jah does carry 3 jambiya throwing knives as back up however. While in town and traveling, he also carries a very regular oaken stave.

Skills: Almost expert skill with a scimitar, being trained by the other "jaguar-men" of his tribe in Elsweyr. He is very good with tracking. Skilled in the use of pole-weapons, namely simple staves and shorter spears. Shin-jah is also a very good cook! Last of all is his moderate skill with a gun, its not so much his skill that lacks, but the reliability of the guns themselves being very inaccurate at longer ranges.

Weaknesses: Shin-jah has always had a fear of Orcs. A sort of psychotic hate, and a phobia of them. He thinks their skin is just unnatural. Thus, in battle he may either run from them, or focus on them the most. He also loves a certain kind of pain-killing berry native to his homeland, he is somewhat addicted. 1 berry will last a few hours, he keeps them in a belt-pouch. A total of 30 or so.

Personality: Shin-jah is a very stoic Khajiit. He is extremely resilient and, when first met, may come off a bit dry and even grumpy. However, when he establishes trust and more so, a friendship, Shin-jah is an undying and powerful friend and ally. He is also very prone to a temper, that can flare quickly. Deep down though, Shin-jah is a rather soft-hearted Khajiit, akin to a large kitten at times. Rarely if ever, does he show this side. The last time he did, it was when his girl cub was born.

History: Shin-jah was born in Elsweyr, deep within the jungles just along a great plain. He was of a great war-tribe of the Cathay-raht. Under the rule of a Redguard sultan, the tribe was oppressed and in a weakened state while they were split up on separate sides of the plain. Shin-jah's father and grandfather however, struck up a rebellion which proved effective. In only 2 days time, the tribe was united, and the body of the sultan was sent back to the Legion commander in Daggerfall. The tribe took control of the lands, and began liberation of two other nearby tribes. The tribes eventually united and flourished deep within Elsweyr, virtually hidden within the deep plains and jungles.

Meanwhile in the world, the rebellion against magick had begun. Little did Shin-jah's tribe know, but they would soon be harboring runaway magi. Shin-jah's tribe hid and ferried over 400 magi through Elsweyr and got them to safe haven's. Only Shin-jah's mate, a young seer named Mah-zee. However, a leak was eventually found, and one fateful night a surprise attack was launched. The tribe was entirely separated. The magi either killed or captured. Only Shin-jah and a small band of warriors, including his mate and cubs, managed to escape. The warriors made their way north, to Skyrim, of all places. Their fur was thick enough to handle the harsh mountains, and they carved out a living in the Jeralls'. One night, Shin-jah's mate had a vision of a great Eagle flying over a mountain. She knew this meant Bruma. Shin-jah eventually decided to leave his family in the care of his trusted friends, so that perhaps he could go to Bruma and help in whatever way he could.

Currently, Shin-jah lives just outside of Bruma, hunting deer and the occasional bear. Being a magi abolitionist for some time, he developed a certain sense for them, and he can tell that in Bruma, there is a magi nearby. Who, he doesn't know. But he must them at all costs.

Name: Trannigan Drattmer - Nickname: Dratt or just Trannigan

Age: 27

Race: Imperial

Appearance: 6'0, bright green eyes and black shoulder length hair and goatee, he is slightly buffer and in better shape than the typical Imperial, due to living a more "active" lifestyle than the average Imperial commoner. Skin slightly darker around the hands and arms as well from slightly poor hygiene, as his appearance in the eyes of others means little to him. He also has a small scar across his left cheekbone and one on his abdomen.

Clothing/Armor: : A brown Linen shirt when not wearing his cuirass, Blacksmiths pants, and wolf skin moccasins. For armor he has Orcish gauntlets that he wears almost all of the time, and if he knows he has to go into battle he has a nearly full Imperial Armor suite minus the gauntlets and shield that he "borrowed" from a guard in the wilderness during the night.

Weapons: A blade that is based off of an elven shortsword, which is a family heirloom. The handle is black with green designs and a steel crossbow with about 25 bolts.

Skills:

Blades
Hand to Hand
Sneak
Sleight of Hand/Pick-Pocketing
Wilderness Survival
Manipulation (As in he's a good liar, not the magical kind.)
Heavy Armor
Good with his crossbow
Armorer
Mercantile

Weaknesses:

Does not fight with a shield and uses his blade to try to parry incoming blows. Works often enough but hes got the marks to prove a shield would be more useful.

Quick tempered at times and can get annoyed easily.

Not very good at picking locks, can only pick the average lock open but nothing more complex. If faced with a hard lock he will get frustrated and try to bash the lock open, creating alot of noise.

Doesnt know any magic at all, not even a basic fireball spell.

Does not use any of the guns, considering gunpowder to be unreliable when one has a more accurate bow or crossbow. Stubbornly Ignores the fact that guns are quicker than his crossbow and does not realize the damage that can be done when a bullet DOES actually hit its target.

Personality: Trannigan has a strong liking for battles, yet he usually tries to stay civil while in cities or towns so that innocent lives do not get caught in the crossfire. He is a quiet person when he is'nt drunk or angry and he prefers to listen to others converse unless spoken directly to; he can also be very polite and friendly but usually only towards women and children. Trannigan is also very loyal and once he likes/trusts an individual, he will do everything in his power to keep them safe. That said, He does also have his flaws, there are times when he picks fights, just to have a fight. He loves stealing from upper classed individual's, and he has a strong disliking for city guards, believing them to be lazy and corrupt compared to guardsmen that risk their lives on the roads. He also believes that sometimes to accomplish one's goals, one must enevitably turn to violence to achieve them; which is one of lifes hard facts.

History: Trannigan grew up in Chorrol, as an only child with his mother and father. They lived as middle class citizens of the new empire and lived a quiet enough life. That all changed one evening when the guards of the new empire came to the city. They rounded up all of the magic users within the city and took them outside the walls, then they exterminated them on the spot or took some in as prisoners. Unfortunately one of the people slain was Trannigan's uncle, and from that day onward he developed a distrustful view of guards. When he was a teen Trannigan trained with his father to learn how to be effective with blades and with hand to hand combat. He also bought himself a crossbow with some money that he had saved up and practiced shooting targets after sparring with his father. When Trannigan became an advlt he moved out of his childhood home but stayed in the city for a few months.

One night he snuck into the city watch barracks while most of the guards slept, he then snuck up to the bedrooms and slit all of the sleeping guards throats. He tried to slip back out unnoticed but the upstairs commotion was heard by the patroling guards, he then fled the city taking only his blade and bow as well as enough food to keep him alive until he could hunt some more. He set up his new home in one of the many abandoned houses in the woodland area and began to settle down again. He managed to live a quiet life as a hunter for a few years by avoiding Chorrol and traveling to Skingrad whenever he needed more supplies, and by hunting for meat and growing enough vegetables to sustain himself. One day however he again had to leave his home as when he was on a hunt he noticed a group of guards marching down the road in the direction his home was. Seeing that there were too many to deal with himself he grabbed the chest that his belongings were in and headed south, he walked until he found another small village and decided to settle down there, where he lives to this day.

Yay I got approved. Here she is:

Name: Alenya
Age: 24
Race: Dunmer

Appearance: Alenya is muscular, with a hint of feminine beauty buried under harsh, strong features and deep red eyes. She has very long, pitch-black hair that she rarely ties back and the bluish skin of the Dunmer. Along with many small nicks and scratches across her body, she has two very prominent scars – one huge one going from her right shoulder down across her body to her left knee, and one smaller one across her left eye, going from the bottom of her pointed brow, across her eyelid, to her mid-cheek.

Clothing/Armour: Alenya dresses for practicality, not beauty. She wears an odd assortment of armor and clothing, gathered from numerous raids and attacks she had been a part of. She wears leather boots and grieves, a steel cuirass, and an Imperial Legion helmet. She also owns a pair of rugged pants and a tunic for when she sleeps. In addition, has a strange amulet, a silver chain with an unidentifiable gem hanging from it, which she wears under her armor and never removes, although refuses to speak of its relevance or purpose.

Weapons: Her favorite and most-used weapon is her cutlass, which she keeps sharpened at all times. She also has a silver dagger that she keeps in her boot and uses for things like cooking, and last minute defense if necessary.

Skills: Alenya is a very advanced swordsman, having practiced at it since the day she could first hold a weapon. She is also very strong, and so does well in hand-to-hand combat. She is a good hunter and very resourceful, and is also very good at getting what she wants (if only because she is quite intimidating).

Weaknesses: She couldn’t be stealthy to save her life and is also dismal at archery. She is also very rash, so slipping up in battles is quite common for her.

Personality: Alenya is headstrong, fierce and cunning. Although intimidating at times, she is also very loyal to the ones she cares for and very willing to die for them. She is sarcastic and also very prone to mood-swings – one day she’ll joke around happily, and the next she’ll be aloof and snarky. She can also be very blunt and in-your-face.

History: Alenya was an accident, born to a secret mage and an adventurer. Her mother had been hiding in the far reaches of a cave, teaching herself magic, when Alenya’s father came barreling into the cave, looking for treasure. Thinking she was a guardian of the cave, he tried to kill her, but before she died he realized his error. Terribly guilty, he stayed in the cave for awhile, nursing her back to health, and falling in love. And eventually, Alenya was born. The little family lived happily for three years, oblivious to what was coming. And come it did. The adventurer had forgotten his past life – but his fiancé hadn’t forgotten him. Ever since he hadn’t returned to her, she had been out trying to find him – and finally she did. Furious that he had betrayed her, she flew out of the cave to get someone to come and kill the family, telling them that there was a mage. Terrified, the family tried to escape, but they were caught up with. Alenya’s father tried to hold off the guard while Alenya and her mother escaped. He soon died and the guard chased after Alenya and her mother. While Alenya’s mother ran, she found a bandit encampment and thrust Alenya into one of the bandit’s hands before turning and running back towards the guard, where she was killed. Very confused, the bandits – a husky Khajiit named Tibirus and a little Bosmer archer called Rilian – shrugged their shoulders, retrieved Alenya’s mother’s amulet, and raised up Alenya as a bandit. And that was where she has lived ever since.

OK seeing as how I'm unable to find an in-depth summary about The Infernal City, let's just assume that Prince Attrebus and Sul are successful in destroying Unbriel and killing Vuhon.

Overview

4E 102: The Empire is once again leaderless after the Emperor jumped from White Gold Tower. Chaos ensues.

4E 103: The Black Marsh still separated from the Empire, attacks Cyrodiil while they are weak. The Empire’s forces manage to hold them off. The Argonians retreat.

4E 105: After continued attacks from the Argonians, the Empire’s forces strike back with their elite Battlemages.

4E 107: The Battlemages, led by Viktor Hulman, force the Argonians back into the Black Marsh.

4E 110: The Argonians and the Empire sign a peace treaty, ending the War of the Black.

4E 112: After seeing the extreme courage, leadership, and strength of the Battlemages, the Empire named Viktor Hulman as Emperor with his Battlemages at his side. They named themselves the Arcane Quorum.

4E 136: The Arcane Quorum is successful in extinguishing the last fires of chaos and guides the Empire into a Golden Age of peace.

4E 262: The Arcane Quorum cuts all contact with the nobility and citizens of the Empire.

4E 263: Nobles of the Empire begin to disappear and die.

4E 264: With the nobles and leaders of the provinces dead, the Quorum shows itself again under the leadership of Archmage Learin and begins to raise taxes, establish curfews in most cities, and publicly executes anyone that does not follow the new regime.

But the Arcane Quorum had different plans. With the combined might of over five thousand of the most powerful magi, the Quorum unleashed every ounce of power they had in them to try to destroy to Rebellion. The power of all the magic combined completely obliterated the Imperial City, destroying nine tenths of the Rebellion and the entire Quorum. All that was left to remember the catastrophe was the crater where the once grand city stood. The last leaders of the Rebellion made Bruma the new capital of the Empire and set about to fixing everything that had gone wrong. As part of their plans, the new Empire deemed magic too dangerous and evil to be kept in existence. The New Empire sent out agents to hunt down every magic user, book, and school and destroy them all.

Hey, Kritikal Strike, is your only character Anne? And are you going to post a character sheet for her or do our characters just get to find out along the way?

Yes Anne will be my only character, I will of course be controlling some NPCs such as Gregory Taell, city guards, etc.

And here is Anne

Name: Anne

Age: 16

Race: Imperial

Appearance: Anne is a pretty young woman with thick, light brown hair, pulled back into a ponytail and large brown eyes. She is a short woman, standing at only five feet, two inches with a thin frame. She has a few scars on her arms and hands from when she lost control of her powers.

Clothing/Armour: Anne usually wears dark blue leggings with a soft violet long sleeved tunic. She also wears a violet ribbon that she ties to her ponytail.

Weapons: A short steel scimitar.

Skills: Cooking, Singing, Self Defence, Some Magic Capabilities

Weaknesses: Anne is relatively weak and can't defend against large opponents. Often gets scared easily. If she tries to use magic she often gets hurt as she has great difficulty controlling it.

Personality: Anne is very kind to those she knows. She tends to be very shy around strangers but is very friendly to people once she gets to know them. She also tends to keep a lot to herself and spends most of her time thinking rather than speaking about her problems.

History: Anne never knew her father. She was raised by her very caring mother and even took on a job when she was fourteen to help lessen the burden on her mother. When she was ten, she learned that she could conjure fire at will. But she soon found out that this could get out of hand very quickly. She was playing with fire one morning when all of a sudden a large fireball erupted from her hand cause the building next to her to catch on fire. She never told anyone about this and never attempted to use fire again.

When she learned that magic users were wanted people, she tried desperately to hide the fact that she could use magic, leading to her introverted side. When her mother died, she began to prepare for her journey to Skingrad.
