No, the fourth era began after you finished the main quest.

yeh, so it was in the forth era, did you stop after you finished the main quest?

Bethesda has never written lore for the future and that's because most all lore comes from sources within the games themselves.

Well, in the Tribunal expansion of Morrowind, certain people talk about the future Oblivion crisis. But I'm not sure that counts, since they were already working on Oblivion at that point.

The lore comes from the games, not the other way around. This cash cow is going to be alive and kicking long after you die (maybe)...

True, technically the 4th Era began the day after Dagon is defeated. It just wasn't acknowledged by the game or the people, and I doubt it would be made official by the Elder Council for a few months. Then again the whole concept of using eras that span an arbitrary amount of time is just stupid. It's fine for the game but common sense says add a year every year, don't just reset the clock and change it to 4E.

Nah there is still Elewyr, Valenwood, Black Marsh and Summerset Isles left to play.

Skyrim in Skyrim, Cyrodiil in Oblivion, Morrowind in Morrowind, Hammerfell and High Rock in Daggerfall and the entire continent in Arena.

Perhaps there'll be a game afterwards that again involves the entire continent. That'd be awesome.

I kinda want it to carry on like Final Fantasy XD! Elder Scrolls XIII will have 4D effects when if comes out in 30 years :P you'll be able to smell the graphics and feel the wind blow on you. That would be so epic. You could also feel yourself getting stabbed, even better!

If it keeps making money, they'll create more, but eventually they'll exhaust Tamriel and they'll have to introduce us to Akavir. That won't be a problem, really, since by that time, I think the franchise's wider audience will be prepared for, and looking forward to, the weird and unknown. Heck, I think there's a lot of weird and unknown that could be extracted from provinces like Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset Isle. And I think gamesas now has the carte blanche to go there.

I don't really like the Altmer, but it could be interesting... all those rumors of Daedra worship becoming more prevalent on the Summerset Isle, and all. That's actually quite interesting sounding, from a lore perspective, spun 200+ years into the future, as a possible underground opposition faction to the Thalmor... depending upon what their role/fate is in TES V, of course.

Yeah. Bring it; I'll play it.

Well, they're saying that smell-o-vision is coming sooner than we would think...

As most others have said, the series will almost definitely go on as long as it's making money. Although, it'll be interesting where the story goes after Skyrim & Lord of Souls.

They could still do Hammerfell or High Rock. Daggerfall was so long ago and the graphics weres o basic it could have been almost anywhere.

Indeed. And http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Adventures:_Redguard took place in the 2nd era, not the 3rd.

TES games will continue to be made and the future timeline will continue to expand as long there are money to get from it :P

Exactly as long as it gets money, keeps getting awards, and a growing fan base TES will live on

Only parts of Hammerfell and High Rock were covered they have a equal amount of chance just as Elsweyr, Valenwood, Black Marsh, and the Summerset Isle have. Also Todd said he would like to make Daggerfall the way it should have been. My guess is they will treat High Rock and Hammerfell as seperate games this time round.
