The laser pistol doesn't seem to have iron-sights. It does the FO3-style slight zoom.

Yes. Due to it's weird shape.

(because that's a false idea, really. Nothing stops you from putting the sights really anywhere on the gun, short of not knowing what you are doing... and I'd hope you did if you were making laser pistols!)

The whole idea of a weapon being made without optics or a sighting system is... stupid.

I believe it was, and it's for the same reason harmy52 says. Creating a proper sight would modify the original mesh, which I'm sure Obsidian didn't really want to do.

WTH! It's a LASER WEAPON... how is it stupid! Laser guns are awesome! Just search on google image, you'll see... only half of them have iron sights.

It's intentional. I saw a mod for it at a merchant (not a game mod, an in-game weapon mod) adding a sight to it.

On second thought, can't remember if it was for the laser pistol or the plasma pistol... deffo energy gun at least.
