Late night Bethesda forum

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 7:47 pm

Watching Fooley Cooley just a few minutes ago, even though I had to use the internet to figure out what was going on....anime does that sometimes. Great show, but I feel I would understand it better with mind altering substances.

Had to take my sister to one of her friends house for a project earlier.

Thought about cleaning my room.

Looking for my grades online for college.

Excited for the end of college and a summer to go.

I'm looking forward to my trip to the Drive-In in Indiana, something magical about sitting in your car outside watchnig the movies and trying to listen over the drunks on the shotty radio speakers hooked up on your car window. The smell of diabetic funnel cakes and starchy corndogs. The murals of the 50s batman, Dr. Octopus, Spiderman, and Robin in the bathrooms. Seeing some guys General Lee remake in the front row. Watching the corny old 50s and 60s movies before the actual movie and seeing some of those classic and cheesey film reels between the flicks.

Good times.

Ah, FLCL. What an amazing show. Every character in that show has severe ADHD except for the main one. I remember watching it for the first time some 5 years ago. Also was around that time I was way, way into Diablo 2. Staying up late nights watching advlt Swim when it only had good anime/comedy shows instead of the live action crap they put on there every Sunday nowadays and leveling up my barbarian. 'Nuff to make a guy get nostalgic.

Welp, right now I'm just munching on some red vines and waiting for Cowboy Bebop to come on (2 hours away... Dunno why they put one of my favorite shows on so late...)

Work today. Not as busy as yesterday. All the winter visitors seem to have left, so businesses are getting slower here. Of course, traffic gets a little better, since all the old idiots that don't know how to drive are gone. Now I just have to deal with all the rest of the idiots that don't know how to drive.

Wishing my hubby didn't have to work this evening. :(

...then again, maybe I can watch a movie or two he wouldn't be interested in, while he's gone. :)

Enjoyed my two days off. Messed around on forums, played some NWN2 and went to my friends house and played some Diablo 2. But back to work tomorrow afternoon. Or this afternoon, I guess, since it's 1:30 am.

Worked today. Not busy at all. So now I am home munching on some food I made at work. One of the perks of being a cook.

It was my "let's watch movies" day with my girl. She picked "The Notebook" . . . of course. After that, I picked "Clerks 2" . . . hells yeah. Overall it was a pretty good day. After that, came home, went back on here for a while, then played WoW for a bit with a friend. Now I am playing Borderlands and . . . well, still lurking here.

I came home from class and went in my bathroom to record some vocals for a song. Then I watched The Day the Earth Stood Still, which I thought would be bad because of Keanu Reeves, but it was actually pretty good. Then I came here and made this post.

It hasn't been a productive day, and I like that a lot.

My day went pretty well today. Got home from school, did my classic workout routine and also was able to swim a new lap in 28.4 seconds. Leveled up 2 more levels in New Vegas and got a new highest killstreak in Black Ops. Won 13 dollars in a little mini blackjack game too so today went pretty well. Only bad thing is that my cold has still not gone away but other than that its been all good for now.

When i saw the title of this thread, i was disgusted haha then i read the subject and realized it had nothing to do with the usual assosiation of "late night"...

Work was pretty busy today. Kind of got frustrated with no help. But I persevered and didn't even have any steaks come back. So, all in all a good day, as far as that part. Still having trouble working with my friends gf. Lot of conflicting emotions, but what can you do?

My day has seen better time management.

i work for the Hilton Hotel as an Assistant Chef and Bartender for late nights and formality parties. Today was extra jam packed with a party of 100+ so everything just went out the window hectic wise.

Good to come home and enjoy an ice cream sandwich and watch some Doctor Who. That and post in this fine establishment of a forum. Fantastic :disguise:

Fine. I'll play along. I'm currently at work, so I can only report about how it's been so far. The weather svcks, it's been raining nonstop since 10 pm last night, some streets downtown are flooded and the temperature went down to 13 °C, which is really low for this time of the year (at least the forecast speaks of 27 °C in the weekend ). I've been busy up until now, it's getting calm. I have two hours to go and I greatly crave a bubble bath. I'm also hungry. Uhm... yeah, that's all.

Hot as hell today, and it's not even summer yet. Work was slow again. At least I'm not one of the employees that will get sent home early when it's slow. But it does make for a boring day. And it gives me too much time to think. Which is never a good thing for me.

And here in Arizona, our Mountain time doesn't even change. No daylight savings time ftw.
