Late night Bethesda forum

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 12:45 am

I've decided that audiobooks are my new thing, so am listening to The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan while drinking coffee and eating chocolate. Using a nice big set of 70's style headphones of course.

My new iPad is also proving fun, I've always wanted a tablet and they've finally become worth buying, unlike those massive things running windows XP back in the day. It's really great for lounging.

It is a late nite for someone in the world lol. So what is morning for one, is evening for others.

For me, had another blah day. No work, putting out resumes, no replies. Just keep going at it everyday and hoping something will come up.

Well it's early morning for me now. I stayed up all night because I'm just about used to it now because I've been working the graveyard shift at work. Had last night off so I played video games and watched anime all night. The best thing about these hours is that no one else is up so there is no one bugging me.

I'm about to eat breakfast (ham n' eggs, rice, and coffee :liplick:) then go to sleep

I just wish modern tablets had decent stylus support. It would be such a useful note-taking tool if they did. Even without character recognition, it would still be incredibly useful (especially if I could export images/pdfs of the notes), but alas, it does not. Even the stylus that do exist for capacitive screens are not great: no tapered end, but rather flat at an angle (at least all I've seen).

Love it when I find another Rise Against fan! I unfortunately couldn't get tickets to the concert they did in Denver a couple of weeks ago, but I did get to see them at Red Rocks last year, which was awesome.

I don't think they've come to Nashville anytime recently. It svcks, but I'm checking their tour schedule right now, maybe they'll come!

Haha, I may or may not be going to their show at Downsview Park on the 15 of July, did any of you get their new album?

Isn't this like a dumbed down version of the Lair?

EDIT: Less off-topic!

Been doing more gardening with my Pa today, we cut down a 40ft-ish tree yesterday, and today was spent cutting it down into smaller and smaller bits to be cleared away.

I've been trying to get myself ready for my first night shift. I had a meeting at 9am, so I had to get a good nights sleep for that, but then I hardly slept during the day and I'm sat here wasting time until I leave for work at 10pm. I have a feeling tonight will svck. Those coffee machines best be working today!

Yeah, I got their new album. I LOVE it, or about 7 tracks of it.

And you, sir, have a good taste in music. Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band of all time.

The band is Hollywood Undead.

My favorite song, I honestly dont know, I like their first album the best.

Hmmph well my favorite songs are probably Shallow Bay, Natural Life, Polyamorous, Medicate, Next to Nothing, Sooner or Later, So Cold, Breakdown, Diary of Jane, Had Enough (very much love this one), Dance with teh Devil, Phobia, Without You, Hopeless, fade Away, I will not Bow, Give me a Sign.

Damn thats like a tonne of songs, I seriously cannot say which one is my favorite.

Well color me jealous, they had two shows in Denver and both were sold out like a month in advance :(. I bought Endgame day one and absolutely love it, one of the first CDs where I actually enjoy all of the songs (some more than others).

Also, Breaking Benjamin is awesome!

Oh my God, another fan! I'm so used to people hating on them, I don't know what to do when I don't have to defend them!

Been kicking back all day on Oblivion. Haven't played it for two years. It felt like the right time to get back into it. I got so embroiled today, actually, that I farted and made myself jump, which made me fart again. Good times. ^^
