Simple way of putting it is that it plays like any fps but has smart added in on top. I'm sure searching for a little info could have answered this quite easily :/

+1

So yea there is strafing

But lateral movement, isn't that just strafing/moving to the side?

You should be able to strafe from side to side while shooting. I think you can also shoot while sprinting and with a certain ability, you can reload during sprint.

anyways, every game has some sort of lateral movement some more then others, I prefer games like socom and mag where i can move laterally while shooting, usually from the hip accurately or even aiming down sight while strafing, most fps's don't have effective strafing COD for example.

COD does have effective strafing. It just doesn't have completely excessive movement if you're ADSing, which makes sense because you sacrifice that movement for a massive accuracy boost.

Bleh, sprinting and shooting? I can see sprinting and reloading but sprinting and shooting seems a bit far fetched...the point of sprinting is to move faster, yet you are more vulnerable...at least in other games.

I don't think you can sprint indefinetly, if you are sprinting you're obviously not going to be as accurate of a shot if you were standing still, and even if you could sprint forever, you'd be in a more predictable line of movement anyway.

It was a common place in SD's previous games. It's a big reason why so many SD fans are upset with them implementing ADS in their games - it slows down the game.

Soooo very true. Well, Ads is fine as long as I can sprint and shoot at the same time with me and my crosshairs ^^

Ah, so whats wrong with it? Years ago when it first started being the norm (ADS/Ironsights) I hated it, but now I like it. Feels weird without it (I.e 3rd person aiming in fallout 3)

Quite the opposite opinion here: At first I liked ADS because it was new and innovative, but now I really want shooters with just crosshairs again.
I think SD found a balance to cater both audiences ^^

I fail to see what's OP, when everyone can choose to use it or not, without it being considered cheap or an exploit.

Lol ah so I guess that OP means something else as well as Original Post.

I thought it might be OverPowered but hip fire has never been overpowered in any game I have played. So overpowered didn't make sense.

Lol what does OP mean this time?

He meant OP like OverPowered, but just like you, I fail to see how hipfire can be OP at all.

How can hipfire be overpowered? Everyone is capable of doing it -its not a "skill" or exploit like quickscoping. The only logic I can put to one thinking it would be OP, are players that have become so accustomed to using sights, that anyone who chooses to hipfire instead, is in their eyes, "overpowered" because the ADS players can't adapt or get used to not using sights.

Hipfire isn't going to be overpowered because ironsights/optics are more accurate to shoot with, simple as that.
