Latest Patch Notes

Cry Tom are you going to fix lag,and matchmaking,or mathcmaking is fixed in this patch. And car kick lag and gauss sniper problem?

This.
It's not possible to make a one off patch to fix everything (as much as we'd like to!), the main reason being every time you identify the key issues and begin fixing them, some more will appear. If we tried to cover everything at once we'd never actually get a patch released.

All of the main changes in this patch can be found above in the original post. There will be more updates in the future addressing more of the key issues. We always monitor community feedback as part of our patching process so there is a good chance if it gets discussed here, it will be addressed.

Ehm...Cry-Tom, there are 2 big issues still in the Multiplayer: "An error has occurred, please check your connection" is what I see every time I run the game. I opened all the doors of Crysis 2 in my firewall, and my connection is right. Second: I cannot join no matches, because it losts the connection before to start the game.

Please notify this.

Hey guys,

am I the only one having this issue? To me it seems that since the patch I have a bigger lag than before. Not all the time but way more often than before.

Plus when I am shooting an enemy at close range the guy keeps stop firing to performing a melee attack. Pretty annoying.

Anybody facing the same issues?

the exact same.

THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!! If I could make a suggestion, could you please up the power of the shotguns? As it is it takes me almost a whole clip to down a guy and it usually end with me getting stomped. If you could please make the shotguns (being my favorite weapons) a bit better up close then I would love you forever! <3

Thank You for that patch. It was needed. But I have just one request. I been hearing how Crysis 2 is the best looking game to date. But only on the Xbox360 and PC. Why couldnt it reach it's full potential on the Ps3 which is on a Blu-ray disc at that? That was my only problem with Crysis too besides the connection. Can we please have some sort of update to see how good Crysis 2 really looks? I ws expecting Crysis 2 graphics to be up there with Killzone 3. It was kind of a let down to me. I'm heartbroken.

Read this before blaming PS3-release. PS3-version is equally good as Xbox 360-version. In some aspects Crysis 2 on 360 is better (framerate, resolution), but shadows, water reflection and anisotropic filtering are BETTER ON PS3.

[*]- Fix for music tracks repeating when they shouldn’t, and two different tracks occasionally playing at the same time

Thanks for the update. I am really enjoying Crysis 2 so far, so please keep fixing those bugs (of which there is many)!

Cry-Tom - The main issue I am experiencing at the moment is what youve mentioned above has been fixed, but I still find it happening in the online game lobby. The backing music is fine on 1st play-through but when it loops for the second time its like it is doubling up and this causes the volume outputting from the ps3 to drastically increase, and its obvious its more than the ps3 can handle as it severely distorts the sound. Its so bad I have to mute the sound when waiting for a game, and I am concerned with how it affects the soundcard within the ps3.

Some feedback: I did notice from the patch the windmill 'trailing' effect has gone(skyline), I think it's still there with the choppers though. The menu audio like everyone has mentioned, is still way too high at some points. I am also experiencing some type of lag/stutter where automatic weapons stop firing mid clip for a sec, then continues, while all the other action on screen seems normal. I had a new issue yesterday where I entered into a match where I could hear in game sounds and see my HUD, but nothing in the map, no other players or terrain. Then around 20 seconds in, the screen got lighter and lighter(like the sun coming out), until everything was normal. then in the middle of the screen it said to press 'O' to toggle view. That stayed there the rest of the round, and I couldn't get a kill the rest of the round, like I wasn't doing any damage to anyone.

I sometimes play with /*totally silent/ *sometime background (sound) only like those helicopter on skyline/ *The primary weapon have sound when fired but secondary is silent / *you can hear firefight but when someone shooting me I can't hear them (without silencer)... The Grendel w/ silencer when switch to single fire it also remove the silencer and yes it wasn't silent at all...

Crysis 2 Patch Notes

On Thursday 31st March we released a patch for the X360 system that fixed many issues raised by the community. Today we have also released a patch for PS3.

We would like to thank the community for helping us to identify a number of unexpected issues, and we will continue to monitor the game and community for future fixes and improvements.

Below is a list of fixes included in the patch;

  • - A number of AI fixes and improvements (single-player campaign)
  • - Improved anti-cheat protection
  • - Fix for missing and corrupt sounds
  • - Fix for music tracks repeating when they shouldn’t, and two different tracks occasionally playing at the same time
  • - A range of networking improvements, including fixes to host migration
  • - Fix for Capture the Relay where the CELL team would occasionally not be able to pick-up the relay in the second round
  • - Addressed a bug with the “Show All” radar option when players would intermittently not be shown
  • - Ammo crates now disappear from tactical hints when they’re emptied (single-player campaign)
  • - Fix for a number of After-Match Awards not being correctly allocated
  • - Fix for inaccurate audio being played during the kill replay camera
  • - Smoothed the transition into and out of the kill replay camera
  • - Fix for the battle announcer audio occasionally reporting inaccurate Support Bonus information
  • - Fix for the Deflection bonus staying permanently active if held by a player at the end of a round
  • - Fix for menus scrolling continually if a direction is held on the left anolog stick during load
  • - Various Skill Assessment fixes so stats are tracked correctly
  • - Leaderboard fixes for data occasionally being shown in the incorrect column
  • - Fix for an issue with shadow rendering
  • - Fix for crouch and zoom being on the same button in one of the alternate control schemes
  • - Added additional announcer signposting when approaching the score limit in game modes
  • - Fix for players of rank 50 being shown as rank 51 in-game
  • - Improved ledge grab transition speed
  • - Reduced lag when switching weapons
  • - Fix for a Stealth Kill bug where, if performing a kill on a moving target, pressing the button would sometimes drag players along behind that opponent instead of performing the kill
  • - Fix for explosions occasionally not rendering in the kill replay camera
  • - Fix for an issue when trying to switch weapon during a slide, where players were sometimes left in a no-weapon

- gamesas Team

Please fix the nano catalyst resetting on singelplayer. It′s horrible to play with that bug!!
Thank you

Hi Cry-Tom! I've just created my account here to tell you and your team that i love Crysis 2 even though there are some issues that you guys have to take care of in multiplayer. Here is a list:

*cannot stay in a squad of 3 to 6 people without backing out every 2 games or not even that. Because, i or someone in my team simply got stuck in the lobby, and we have trouble playing in the same team (last night we played from 11pm till 3am and we only played in the same team 4 or 5 times). Sometimes the sound of some things just disappear in the beginning of a match and then it begins to work in the next match.
"ps3 system"

I was looking foward to tell you this because i love this game. But we cannot play with these types of issues... it's annoying! Hope you fix it very soon!

please reply!

Got this day one and have to say enjoyed the SP a lot but is it my imagination or was the (2 day) beta much more playable online. I agree with a lot of people that the lag is ***** horrible in this game and more than once I have seen myself shooting at an empty space (on Killcam) where I could have sworn someone was. My mate agrees with me and he has the 360 version, the beta was great WTF happened to the retail release?

Bugs I have noticed include weapons failing to fire, getting stuck on walls (skyline im pointing at you) and I managed to walk thru walls a few times while backing away from people.

Started SP again as I am getting nowhere in the MP, can not get a decent game even with a decent stable connection. AI in single player now ranges from God like to outright ******* stupid. This is a great game but I goin to stick to K3 until MP is fixed.

P.S This game has the worst ending of any SP campaign ever. I was gobsmaked at how utterly lame it was, could you not have at least made an effort Crytec. Really your best game was Far-Cry and I still think its the best game I have ever played. Crysis 2 needs an ending so give us a single player expansion PLEASE, **** the multiplayer for once.

CryTom is this patch suppose to fix the weapons attachment bug for single player? I'm still stuck at 10/13. Or is this coming in a later patch?

The known issue relating to single player weapon attachments is that there are only 12/13 attachments. Presumably the missing attachment is the hologram decoy which isn't in the single player but was added to the attachment count.

You might be missing the shotgun attachments, gauss attachments or laser sights (commonly missed attachments, anyways).
