Crysis 2 Patch Notes

On Thursday 31st March we released a patch for the X360 system that fixed many issues raised by the community. Today we have also released a patch for PS3.

  • - Fix for music tracks repeating when they shouldn’t, and two different tracks occasionally playing at the same time

It's not possible to make a one off patch to fix everything (as much as we'd like to!), the main reason being every time you identify the key issues and begin fixing them, some more will appear. If we tried to cover everything at once we'd never actually get a patch released.

All of the main changes in this patch can be found above in the original post. There will be more updates in the future addressing more of the key issues. We always monitor community feedback as part of our patching process so there is a good chance if it gets discussed here, it will be addressed.

This is a great patch. The devs have looked at peoples gripes and answered them. This will greatly improve my enjoyment of this game. One good step at a time. Thanks again :)

As above, thanks for the patch, it's great to know the PS3 release is finally getting some support from Crytek, but also, I fount there were very few actual gameplay issues other than the lag from p2p/match-making in multiplayer, which has rendered multiplayer borderline unplayable for me.

As a side note, stealth kill doesn't seem to be working in single player for me now, maybe it's just me not timing it correctly, hopefully I'll be able to check some more later, stuck in enforced encounters atm :P

Crytom can you please answer these question please.
1) Does the improved anti-cheat protection solve the issue with aim botters as I have noiticed some players are using a aim bot?
2) Will the random weapon lock up (unable to be fire) be looked into and patched?
3) Is it possible to fix the frame rate issues during Orbital Strikes and or Ceph Gunships?
4) Is the muffled sound and strange whistling noise a normal feature when using Stealth enchance?

I also would like to thank Crytek for putting out a patch so soon that fixes a lot of problems. Granted, I never encountered most of these problems, but it shows just how much effort you're willing to put forth for the Crysis 2 community.

I agree with you on that.. Not everything will be fixed at once.. They did respond accordingly.. Took them less than 2 weeks for a pretty large patch. So hopefully well get another one regarding the matchmaking.

There is one thing i do hope they do and its being more active with us on forums. Give more announcement about what they are working on and maybe asking us what we might want to incorporate or change is this game.

I hope this patch makes a difference and i hope everyone isnt spoiled and have patience.

CryTom, I know this isn't in the patch notes but I've lost a weapon unlock due to disconnecting from multiplayer before spending it, is there any chance I would be able to get it back because this happened to me before I rebooted as well.

Great.

Now how about fixing the version that matters. PC?

You know, the platform that the original Crysis was EXCLUSIVE to? The only reason why you console queers ever have C2 in the first place?

Yeah. That platform. You are stabbing us in the back Crytek. Fix this crap NOW!

Hehe, i lol'd pretty hard. The console community feels left behind the PC players and vice versa. But it's nice to see both communities got their trolls.

Dare i say, if all you can do is troll our board with random banter thats neither helpful nor pertinent to our topic and only serves to make yourself look like an asshole, take your douchebag self back to the PC side.. Last time i checked, PC users got their first run of updates long before PS3 side even got acknowledged on their issues... i know this personally... cuz i was watching it all happen... need i even mention us console players actually paid more for our copies than you did? Quit your bichin and get back to your cave dude...
