I've never owned Tiberian Sun: Firestorm. Is that old and good enough? :hehe:

Alpha Centauri is on the way? I've been wondering where to get a copy for ages.

Guess I know now.

Is it really as good as they say?

It is. But you really don't need to wait for that one anyway, as it's been http://www.gamershell.com/download_55872.shtml.

Whaaa?! I knew Tiberian Dawn was released for free, but Sun too? When did that happen?

And even an official torrent download available, makes things much smoother :celebration:

Yes. A thousand times yes. It's the only game that ever kept me up past four in the morning because of "just one more turn..." syndrome. It's also astonishingly smart, philosophical, and much, much deeper than any of the Civilization games it was spun off from.

I've tried playing Civ III and IV in the years since, but just couldn't get hooked on them like I did SMAC. They're just too shallow in terms of how tech discoveries and wonders (called secret projects in SMAC) are handled.

...Plus the voice acting's really good. Makes Leonard Nimoy sound like he just phoned Civ IV in. :whistling:
