Launch bugissue

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:38 pm

Reposting 'cause I posted in the wrong place.

I have the game on PC/Steam. I click play in Steam, launcher opens fine. I click play on that (game is defaulted to lowest settings and I leave them). Game then launches but the intro videos and title screen flicker rapidly, about once a second, and lag. After I close the game any subsequent attempts to launch just cause the game to freeze right after the launcher closes showing the 'AppHangB1' error as the cause. I can resolve the error so that I can relaunch the game though I still have the flickering and lagging issue, I can post the fix if anyone needs or wants it.
I am running it on a laptop but the system specs are:
GPU: GeForce 820M
CPU: Intel? Core? i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz
Memory: 8GB RAM
OS: Windows 8.1
I think I should be able to run the game 'cause I can run Phantom Pain without issue so I'm assuming it's a compatibility issue or something. Just wondering if anyone knows of a fix I can attempt or if I'll have to wait for a patch.

Your GPU is below the minimum specs. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-550-Ti-vs-GeForce-820M is how it compares to the GTX 550 ti (which is the listed minimum requirement).

Shouldn't be his issue.
I plan on using a GT 750M. It runs nearly every recent game.
Dying Light, Witcher 3, FarCry 4 and more run fine so far (with optimized options of course)
Therefore it should be able to run FO4.

Probaly an unsupported feature what can be disabled within the ini-files.

I am not able to game/test yet ;).

Unfortunatly i've to wait for 5-6hrs till it launches here. And that's around 2-3 in morning. Unlikely I will test that much, if anything will happen before tomorrow.

Also the method (wich even has a tutorial on steam) is no option to me. I paid for this game, therefore I won't bypass anything.

It's like buying a new car, fiddling with it or some parts of it and telling the manufacturer "Dude, your car is broken...fix it! But I didn't used any parts wich I was supposed to use. Have fun"

Not a major crime, but still...I paid >.<

Also, note that OP's CPU is dual core - perhaps you have quad core mobile processor?

At any rate, hopefully there will be a fix for this issue!

Do you have any idea of the feature or a way I could find it out?

So playing the game in windowed mode seems to have fixed it. I swear I tried that last night but today it works fine

Fixed!

Here might be a fix, if your using AMD, update the drivers to the latest BETA driver, then goto AMD control Panel (you may be using 1 or more Screen's) After going to the AMD control center, click Desktop Management > Creating and Arranging Desktops > 1 by 1 make each f them Primary.

Example make one primary, test game, doesn't work move on to next one.

Hope this help's, this has helped me and 2 others since i found this out!

This is for Windows 7; 64 bit
