Launcher error

i have and played fallout 3 Normal Version a long time then bought GOTY i deleted my game then tried to reinstall it and now the launcher won't open even if i access the files then open it

it says (the application Configuration is incorrect reinstalling the application may fix this?

anybody help me? please i just got internet and wanna try live out i don't know much about this site or others just need help i appreciate any someone can give

Did you delete the .ini file in your My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 folder? The .ini file is the configuration setting file named FALLOUT. Just delete it and refire up the game...a new .ini will get generated. Hopefully, this will fix the issue.

Ive been running into the same problem on my system and deleting the FALLOUT.ini didn't work, any other suggestions?

i had the same issue. i fixed it by installing the http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=a5c84275-3b97-4ab7-a40d-3802b2af5fc2&displaylang=en. i think the error happens when FO3 is installed; it overwrites some files related to C++/.NET with older files that are on the DVD.

another thread mentioned .NET Framework 3.5. you can try that if the C++ redestributable doesn't work.
