Vurt's Leafy West Gash 2.0


Features in 2.0:

* Replaces 7 of the 8 dead trees in the West Gash with 5 leafier varieties and 2 new dead trees.

* Animated leaves.

* All leafy trees has falling leaves.

* Retextured tree stumps.

* Mod is now .esp-less

* Collision removed from leaves


The trees probably clips at certain places because they're sometimes much bigger than the default trees, but at least they shouldnt make you get stuck because the collision from the leaves is removed.

Darkdiva: i do have a weeping willow, but i'm not that happy with it. i should try making a better one, i've advanced since then and it would probably look better.

The placement is the same as the orignal tree.. sometimes it's too deep, sometimes not.. so i can't make any changes to that, or it'll float in the air at some places.

I like the look of this, but I noticed that Pack Guars can not cross the bridge over the Odai River at Balmora. The trees block them. Is there a way to make it so they can walk right through the leaves?

That's strange, the trees doesnt have collision, except for the lowest part of the tree trunk, the leaves and branches is no problem walking right through. I guess i could make an .esp for the mod and remove the trees from there.. i'll wait for more reports if there really is an issue with this.

Oh nice. Leafy WG was my favourite mod of yours but they were starting to look a little dated compared to your stunning BC ones and stuff. Now comes the feverish wait for Grazelands, my favourite (Helnim Fields obviously) yet most underlooked area. The last screens were stunning, I just can't stop thinking about them.

Vurt, are you going to eventually do this for Tamriel-Rebuilt too? That would make so many people happy!

As long as the replacers are pluginless (some of Vurt's use ESPs right now) they should replace all vanilla trees in TR too. Still, I think TR has made some unique tree models similar to the originals?

Yes, since most of my mods now are .esp-less TR should now use them. No idea how it looks though, it's been a while since i had TR installed. Might do a special version for TR eventually.

I just had a look and TR does use a few new trees labelled 'ND', whatever that means, and they are used in the latest release. Threre aren't that many though, so it's probably not a big problem.

So does that mean that only a few of the trees in TR will have Vurt's textures and the rest will just look vanilla?

I guess it depends on how many custom tree models TR adds and uses, and how much they use the original trees.
