Leaping a slide tackle.

Do you reckon that will be possible, or is the slide-hitbox too tall? I think it would be a sweet retaliation if you could.

Probably, but for the most part
1. You won't see it coming
2. You won't react fast enough, meaning you won't know what to do

Now when you say leaping... you mean jump and then slide tackle or a wall bounce into a slide tackle? In which case, I don't see why this combo can't be done.

Edit: Sorry, just actually understood what you were asking. That's a good question. I think we'd have to wait to test that out in game to really see. Would be interesting to see someone wall bounce out of being slide tackled, though.

That would be pretty cool. Being able to hop over a sliding enemy, do a 180, and then hose them with bullets would be priceless. Denied! Ninja fail :toughninja:

Nope and nope, simply that a player can leap over an enemy player, who is trying to slide-tackle him

Edit: Just saw your edit, nvm. :P

Indeed, and it also begs the question, whether you can melee mid-air? And if so, if the player sliding would be considered incapacitated as he's on the ground, meaning that he'd die from one melee-strike. :P

Hm. on the off chance that you're actually facing someone that's going to try to slide tackle you, I'm willing to bet you can jump over them unless you're a heavy. And in case you're a heavy, if they're more than 10 feet away, they should get sprayed with all sorts of metal of the lead variety.

Incapacitated will be a definite no.

but i won't rule out the sliding player counting as knocked down and being vulnerable to instant incap.

Also, what if you can land on them and "body surf"? That could also make for some interesting times... (probably not though)

Actually, you have a point there. Seeing as how you can wall hop, it should be possible. But in order to do it, you will have to be running towards your target.

Hope they're inspired by the Mirror's Edge trophy I got for jumping onto an enemy if that does work...

If it doesn't work, you would look like a fat middle-ager with Elephantitis trying to step over advlt magazines while trying to reach for his TV Remote.
