Learning Curve Failure

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 4:05 am

Hi all:

I have done the Brotherhood Quest "Learning Curve" multiple times and all failed. I have had the scribe survive multiple times, but when I turn the quest in, the only choices I have to choose are the ones that if the scribe had died. how do you turn this quest in successfully?

Thanks!

I've done this quest numerous times and I've never had this issue. That's odd.

I tried it once and they sent me to Gunners Plaza on the first run. Of course the scribe isn't going to survive there. I still got paid somehow, even though they died. I'm never doing this quest again, ever. Its just a suicide mission.

A flipping escort missing?!? No thank you. I was SO glad that they are voluntary. When Kells first offered it, I had spent so many hours in forced servitude to Preston Garvey that I was literally cursing the screen thinking I'd have to shepherd some snot-nose around - Companions are bad enough.

This wouldn't be so bad if we could give the scribe a very basic "Wait here" command while we cleared him a path to the goal.

Nope...We have to keep Captain Yolo alive instead.

My first (and only) attempt at this was a success. We went to a Poseidon Energy facility that was infested with Ghouls. She went to a terminal right inside the main door and I thought, "Well, this will be easy".... but then she started bolting down the stairs, "waking" the "sleeping" ghouls all over the place. Managed to keep her alive, though, and Fast Traveled the hell out of there ASAP to turn it in (and never select it again).
