Plenty of learning aids out there. Take a look at your local book store or public library. I'm sure they have learning german on tape and/or learning german books. Or if you wanted to go really crazy you could go out and purchase german language computer programs such as Rosseta Stone. I guess its all how you learn, are you a visual, autoary, or immessive learner. All up to you.

I've heard Rosetta Stone actually works really well - and quickly. Though I'm in my second semester of German at my uni so

Try taking classes at your high school or college, if you're still in school.

I recommend actual classes. I've used Rosetta Stone, and it's pure absolute memorization. That will only get you so far, and you'll understand very little with it. It's good for vocabulary, but as far as actually utilizing language you need a teacher with experience.

Beyond that http://dict.leo.org/?lang=en is a good resource. But it's just that, a resource.

Filmregisseur would be a better word to use. Which happens to be the same as the Dutch word. :P

Thank you! But Filmregisseur seems to mean Film Director but it's ok to use. What does Filmreagien mean anyway?

I would check Rosetta Stone out. It is a bit pricey but really good.

That would be a "Filmproduzent". His term sounds a little like "Regisseur", but that's German for "director".

Try Michel Thomas's audiobook series. I learnt French and German using those - but that was a refresher course, since I'd already done them a decade before in school.

'Filmreagien' isn't a word :). At least not in german.
I'm sure your teacher meant 'Filmregisseur' or maybe 'Filmregie'.
I've found some websites with 'Filmregie' but never heard someone saying it. Stay with 'Filmproduzent' as suggested before.

BTW: www.leo.org can be your best friend when trying to learn german :).

Oh by the way, to any English-speaking person trying to learn German:

  • "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wo#German" means "where" and "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wer#German" means "who".

  • "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bekommen#German" means "to receive", not "to become".

Memorise that and you've already done half of the job.

It is "Deutsch" and I presume you wanted to say "ein bi?chen" because what you said means "I speak German only a please".
