But anyway i LIKE skills and I LIKED perks (Just not the ones in skyrim)
But other than my love of skills that i wanted to share i also wanted to share my idea of perks.
Firstly the perks that make one element of destruction better or one type of weapon within a skill better or.. so on would be unlocked by Doing things! for example using 1000 magicka on fire spells will make all fire spells cost 10% less (10000 for 15% and 20000 for 20% but probably nothing for more than 40%) and maybe give you a 5% resistance to fire with each level. Eating 100 ingredients lets you see the second property of everything you eat and enchanting lots of weapons makes all weapon enchantments 10% more powerfull. Little changes for everything on the most part and not complete game changers
secondly perks that auto unlock once you get the required skill in one or more skills (also- spells that use more than one skill. For example a homing fireball that uses both destructive fire and a driving conjured spirit) Having high conjuration and restoration might give you a perk that makes your zombies regenerate more. Getting debuffed by a curse might temporarily take a perk from you whilst being buffed might give you one (at 120 strength you can wield two handed weapons in one hand.. it's magic!)
Thirdly- learning techniques from other people (and books, daedra, very high skill etc)
There are so many styles and materials for armour. I dont want to put a perk into Armour to be able to smith it because that seems lazy! i would prefer to travel tamriel and learn all the styles and materials! Make myself some ebony orcish or adamantine elven or moonstone imperial! Use some druegh chitin or Ice wolf fur !
So many martial art moves! Valenwood has at least one martial art and so does hammerfell and elsywere! I read a book in skyrim that told a story involving a dremora reaching through someone's chest and taking out his heart! There's gotta be some fancy redguard sword moves and elven/argonian spear techniques! all those things to learn!
(also some of these perks should auto unlock if found but at a much higher level. For example you might be able to learn how to use moonstone at level 40 but you will get knowledge of it at level 70 anyway if you examine the ore, you might be able to learn "whirlwind strike" at level 60 but will get it automatically at level 70.
