Learning the dragon shouts

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 11:10 pm

Ok I'm pretty sure this hasn't been disscussed already but I could be wrong.

So I have heard that you learn dragon shouts from special walls found all across the map but will these walls be placed in random dungeons or be the same on every play through?

If they are the same all the time dosn't that mean on your second or third play through you just could go and get the shouts you like best as soon as you start because you know where they are already?

What does everybody think?

From what i've heard...
there are 60 walls, 20 shouts, 3 words make 1 shout... And there are 120 dungeons.
There's is a 50/50 chance you will approach a wall in a dungeon.

I'm pretty sure it will be the same locations, out of sheer assumption. Maybe which shouts are found where is changed at random, but I doubt there will be randomized locations in general for it. But some of the locations might be tougher than others, so I don't think being able to just get them all at once in later playthroughs is going to be a problem.

It might...if not for the partt about defeating a dragon and capturing its soul allowing you to learn a shout. Or part of a shout, not sure which...but no souls = no learning shouts/shout parts, so no- knowing where the wall is doesn't enable learning all the shouts right off the bat.

Oh yeah I forgot about having to kill dragons first, that would stop a player just going and getting all the shourts if they already knew where they where.

Can someone explain what a dragon shout is? I've searched the forum, and still have no idea what it is. Its supposed to be some attack/spell with a large radius, or something from what I know.

A shout is a powerfull attack. They are a la jedi force field shouts and fire breath shouts and many, many more.
