You have a strange definition of safe and orderly if that is how you would describe a society where they keep slaves that soldiers can [censored] and abuse at will. Maybe there is relativly little stealing and other petty crimes but that would comfort me very little while I worried about being enslaved, crucified or abused in other ways by the authorities themselves. Cesar himself seem to be reminicent of Kurtz from the novel "Heart of Darkness". He believes himself to be civilized but by any reasonable measure he is the biggest barbarian around. The fact that he has made his barbarism systematic trough the organisation of the legion makes it all the worse. His intelligence makes his actions even more vile and disgusting.

I personally didn't like the Legion, though they're backstory was amazingly well done. It added tons of depth to them.

I just figure... why use a knife when you have guns? Also, I think the NCR was just added for us [censored].
BHoS? It seems people that have only played 3 adore them. Play 1 and 2, they're not the saints you think they are.

In best possible out comes of the game, if you could side with the Followers of the Apocalypse, there would be your "savior of all humanity" ending.

They do use firearms but their training is centered around melee combat.

My least favorite faction is Caesars Legion... they're like a bad flashback to Beyond Thunderdome, I mean.. really?

My favorite is BOS, Followers & Khans. The Khans are pretty cool.. I could hang out with them, drink beer and shoot at stuff.

the wasteland is full of people who always think for (and about) themselves. That's why people are always shooting at you.

In regards to the Legion:
Firstly, their soldiers aren't the only ones who don't think. You ever talk to the NCR? Even their officers don't think. Hsu is an exception, but then he's the second highest ranking officer there and should be the first. Oliver doesn't, Moore barely does. That's it, everyone else is as wet as a...that's rude....
Secondly talk to Raul, talk to the trader in the Fort. They both confirm that while the Legion is brutal, they're safe. There are no raiders, most caravans going unprotected? Even deep inside NCR territory that doesn't happen (talk to Cass). So no there's no crime, or at least so little it's superfluous and nothing but the normal crimes of insanity that no culture could stop.

I don't agree with the Legion, I want to see their idea of civilised first. But I do understand where they're coming from. Sometimes you do need to go to extremes. How do you stop a bushfire and all that.

NCR: Just another big bloated government strangling the people in red tape. Bureaucracies like this is what caused the Great War in the first place.

Followers: Never, ever trust altruists, especially in groups. Doing good for the sake of doing good? Nope, they're up to something, and they're doing a damn good job of hiding it.

Never got that impression from the followers, that they were up to something. Sounds like doctors without borders, and I don't think they have a hidden agenda of world ruling either. Voted Legion and The Remnants:
* Legion is just over the top brutal. They make Pol Pot and The Taliban appear good.
* The Remnants mostly for being so little there. Although good intents and purposes (now), they just feel like misfits to the game.

Mix between house and NCR. NCR is a bunch of inefficient corrupt politicians exploiting the people they are meant to help. I like the people like hanlon and hsu and a couple others but oliver and moore spoil it for me.

House. Heartless man who pushed out people out offf the strip and killed a couple. Killed the kings if they help NCR to help freeside. But he has good intentions and what not but i dont agree with his methods or his intentions

Id say the Bos are my favourite faction overall and i personally hated the major factions.

Caesars legion remind me of the Nazi's.

Ceasar's Legion. They are the most unorganized, terribly led, and weak force ever. The kings could probably wipe them out because they're badass and the Legion are just a bunch of makeshift romans. The Great Khans because they're just one step above the fiends are dirty and smelly.

The Legion would eventually get wiped out by a different chapter of BoS if you ask me. They're not really the ones to back down. By the way your pic is the epitome of awesome haha

Least Favorite Major: Caesar's Legion, for reasons already eloquently stated. Dogbert, talking to them won't change your mind a bit.
Least Favorite Minor: Remnants, because like a couple of you I've never met them geared up. Talked to some of them individually. But They're Enclave, so screw 'em.

If the poll had been for Faction Leaders, I'd say NCR. I like the NCR citizens, they're okay. But the NCR leadership are a bunch of career soldiers and politicians and with that lot in charge, well, war isn't the only thing that never changes. Let's hope that bunch get booted soon.

Let's do a bit of faction anolysis for the major factions.

NCR: I don't really like them. They're trying to bring the Pre-War government. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in any case but they're corrupt as heck. Brahmin barons can just pay off the NCR to turn the other way around when they go raising the prices of Brahmin meat to ridiculously high standards. Not to mention only two Presidents mentioned were actually good Presidents. Tandi and Aradesh were the only good ones.

Caesar's Legion: I kind of like them. Caesar's Legion takes the mentality of "The Nukes have reset culture and human progress, let's bring it back from square 1". Which is very good considering that all of human progress really has stopped. They actually are bypassing the stages where civilization was first being established but in any case, they're starting from the Classical era. Which is very good but their methods are annoying. Enslaving women...bah. I believe in equal rights(only for humans), even though I'm a man.

Mr. House: Probably the best chance of rebuilding the Mojave...but guess what? He's just USING YOU!!! I don't really care about that though. My second favorite. Mr. House will succeed but only with your help. He has no arms or legs...both figuratively and literally as the Securitrons are too well known and would catch people off guard. House needs you to succeed and sets you up as his protege...which is actually pretty nice considering he's using you.

Yes Man: Yes Man is your friend . Love that little robot. He's so AWESOME!! Enough said.

My least favorite minor faction: Great Khans. Bunch of people trying to replicate a biker gang Mongolian combo. Nope. Not gonna work. Hate 'em. They would've been cool if they were JUST a biker gang type faction or JUST a gang of people living like the Mongolian empire.

My favorite minor faction: Followers of the Apocalypse. Just like them a lot.

Legion fails. God, I hate them so. They are just pure evil. Not like a grey medium, like NCR. No, they just hate. Although I do like Caesers origin story.

I hate the BoS. They are the most annoying people ever.

The BoS are no threat to anybody.




If that was the case there'd be no Legion to even begin with.

There is a reason for their brutality though, and unless you're a criminal, murderer, drug distributioner, rapist or other things then they'll most likely leave you alone.


They are, haven't seen how NCR is better in handling things, NCR just comes in and wears a mask of diplomacy while they flat out TAKE land from others and kick them out of "their" lands.
Legion takes the lands as well but they at least handle their lands better and try to help the people they let live instead of just being greedy.
While they both conquer lands at least you know where you have Legion, you know that if you do this or that then you might end up on a cross.
NCR on the other hand, they're unpredictable, one moment they might be all friendly and seem like they want to help everyone then some order comes down from a politician and they start kicking you and your friends/family out of your lands.


They are by far more organized than NCR is and compare Lanius with Oliver in who is a better war lord.
They are also by no means weak, they have at minimum twice the better training and loyalty than NCR has and they also use guns while at the same time being experts in close combat.

I love how you try to make the Legion sound so awesome to their people yet the only evidence we have of that is one merchant that is in the main legion camp. Also I must have missed how good they are to their allies especially the Great Kahns who they plan on putting down after they take over. I'm not going to argue NCR vs Legion though done way too much and I'm just tired of it now..

Anyways Least Favorite Major Faction: Caesar's Legion Minor Faction: Great Kahns I just don't like how they use Bitter Springs as an excuse to attack the NCR because the truth is they've been doing it long before that.
