Lederboard hackers!

Post » Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:26 am

Now, as one of the people that are among the highest ranked in the world, I annoys me womewhat to see myself "beaten" in rank by hundreds of hackers on the XP Leaderboards. I do not understand why Crytek does not just remove them, not necessarily banning them, just remove them from the leaderboards, as it is incredibly easy to see the ones hacking that is, considering about the top 100 have above or around 100 million XP.

Now, what I ask from Crytek is just some recognition of the more devoted players by actually making the leaderboards an accurate depiction of the ranks.

They don't even seem to be able to fix the headset destroying music before a game starts so good luck with that!

That is a mere nuisance, while the leaderboard hackers are common for every MP game out there, yet so few actually take the time to remove them, and frankly, I find it insulting to us devoted players.

I don't take it so personally...as you said, this is common for every MP game, so people know to disregard the ridiculously inflated scores at the top of the leaderboard.
It's not a big issue.

Well then so it the leaderboards cause it doesn't do anything where as the music does...

The leaderboards mean nothing... I recently rebooted and the game decided to erase my profiles play time, all my kills, everything except for dogtags and that kinda stuff... So i have 20hours game time with 2K rank lol

That's the way it's supposed to happen. I don't necessarily agree with it (and I feel like I'm not the only one who feels that way) but a reboot completely wipes everything except dog tags and total XP on the leaderboards. Otherwise, all gone.

That is not the way it is supposed to happen. In fact the game states that you will retain all of your stats, though you will lose all your modules, weapons, and assessments, upon rebooting.

At this point though, I don't mind having my K/D reset. It gives me a chance to try to obtain a higher one after rebooting. Usually around level 22-25 I get bored of trying to maintain a decent ratio and start playing with situational weapons and lackluster modules... Either to break the tedious patterns or to level modules for EXP.

I've had ONE friend retain his kills on a reboot.. I think its just a huge glitch that resets you when its not supposed to... vengeance since you reset your rank.. & I'll miss my 4.2 K/D but i'll get over it

I have come to terms with all stats except XP resetting on rebooting, but it is also rather annoying that I would have been in the top 50 at least for kills if I had not rebooted, yet I am only 500th something on the XP Leaderboards due to all the hackers.

I am not surprised the people in the lower ranks does not care that much, but as a devoted player, I feel it does not give us due credit for our devotion.
