So, I decided yesterday to do the Left My Heart quest. I am vilified by the Legion, so a massive war broke out. When it was over, I spotted Canyon Runner and tried to shot him, but no luck. I tried to find him, but he ran faster than my charachter I'm not in the mood to level 3 levels from 20 to 23 to get 50 in Explosives and 75 in Lockpick. I have checked the Fallout Wiki for information on the ref id, but I can't find any.

Is there any way to find out the ref id or does anyone know what the ref id of Canyon Runner is? Or are there even an other way of finding him? All help very appreciated.

You can try travelling away, waiting and then return to see if he resumes his normal patrol.

As far as I know you still need an Explosives skill of 50 to disarm the collars whether you get his key or not.
