Funny thing is, I've never really been a Zelda fan. But, I'm eager to try this game with the missus; she is a huge Zelda fan.

So I'm guessing it's going to be a launch title for the NX? Do we know when the NX is releasing?

Woah. Wii Us are selling for $340 on Amazon even though it's been out for at least a couple years and it's the worst selling Nintendo console ever*? That'll make the NX probably around $400!

Not sure if it will be a launch title but it's likely.

Idk. With the new Xbox One starting at $299 I think it may drive competition up and bring prices down.

It probably won't release till at least the holidays. The only thing working against my theory is that pretty much all the major Nintendo titles are exclusive to Nintendo. So they can set the price to what ever they want because people who want to play them have no other choice.

I seem to remember when they announced that they where going to release it for NX they said it was going to be a launch title, but it is a very faint memory and even if it is true that may have changed their minds since.

I have to sit down and play Twilight princess and use the Ambro so it is ready for the release.

Yeah, I have a sort of counter-theory that accounts for that notorious delay. I believe the game is actually near finished right now. It 'was' supposed to come out last Winter. But I'm very certain they're holding off on releasing it due to the proximity of the NX release. They'll treat it just like how Twilight Princess came out for the ol' Cube as well, hoping to bottle some of that Wii lightning.

This does seem a bit like history repeating itself. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the way of it.

I could get behind that. They did show an awful lot of game play.

Not only can you throw them, but if you have the Magnesis rune for your Sheikah Slate you can then use that to PULL IT BACK TO YOU. Also, if you are in an area with dry grass, you can set it on fire and it will spread and do damage to enemies caught in it. And if there is strong wind, the wind will carry it along faster. Oh and fire creates updrafts that you can use to get air time with your sailtcloth glider. Oh and you can throw your shield down and HILL SURF WITH IT. AND YOU CAN FIRE ARROWS WHILE DOING SO!

Hmm, hopefully those shrines are just mini-dungeons, almost akin to nondescript caves in TES. I feel like too many actual dungeons would end up too diluted. 6-9 well-designed dungeons is the perfect number I think

Well good thing you stopped in to inform people! We were all just wondering if Casey was fond of the LoZ.

6-9 Grand dungeons would be perfect. I imagine those areas with ominous clouds over them would be said grand dungeons. Maybe we'll need to find the right items before we can reach all of those, similar to past games.

I don't care about this comment. Better post it so BladeMaster07 knows I don't like it. Nothing better than expressed apathy.

This is a forum to post opinions and discuss things. A thread dedicated to LoZ doesn't have to include only people who enjoy the games and praise it. People can say they don't like it, and people can say they downright hate it. My intention was only to express that I wasn't that excited for it. No need to get all defensive about the fact that I don't enjoy your gaming jewel.

It's not that your opinion is wrong, or that we're defensive.

It's just that you're chiming in something that is completely irrelevant. It's like seeing people talking about a show they like, and you walk exclusively to say "I'M NOT A FAN OF THAT SHOW GUYS, THAT'S ALL."

You're putting in your two cents for the sake of putting in your two cents, instead of contributing anything to the discussion.

Also they showed some more advanced shrines today. And these were a lot more complex than the other ones with more puzzles that you can conquer with different uses of different runes. And these were still early on so what on earth will the more advanced ones be like? And there's over 100 of these! My goodness. It's crazy to think this is Zelda. I mean I haven't been in to Zelda for too long, I only just got around to really digging into the 3D Zeldas last year so I wasn't so stuck on the traditions but even I wasn't anticipating THIS much in terms of additions and changes. I was thinking something like Twilight Princess on steroids, with more mini dungeons and environmental obstacles and puzzles, not something of the scale with this many added facets. It's definitely exciting.
