Yeah, I know very little of you have played it or intend to, but the system used in LOTRO for this kind of thing would be great. If you're told to hunt a certain legendary beast as a quest, rather than pointing you straight to it you'd be given a large rectangle of area it could be found highlighted in the colour you assign to the quest + relatively low alpha when you mouse over it, and it's down to you and your tracking to go around the area searching for it.

For example, if this was the map, it'd look a bit like this when the quest is moused over if you were told it was in the northern side of the reach and surrounding areas...

So basically you want Skyrim to turn into a combo of RDR and WoW.

As long as the "legendary encounters" are comparable to the difficulty of dragon battles, fine, but I don't want TES turning into The Elder Scrolls V: The World of Red Dead Warcraft. >_>

I was thinking the legendary animals shouldn't be very tough, they should just be extremely agile and always run away from you. If you startle it, your screwed and you have to try to find it again.

Nah, I found it on Google images a few months ago and loved it so much that I saved it to the desktop. I simply added the blue-tinted bit. Which is a bit wrong considering it goes outside of Skyrim, but I couldn't be arsed to fix it. :3

I want a Rouge Mammoth, It can be a third taller than a regular mammoth and have Double the stats. He'll be in a very remote location in the montains and will attack on sight.
