Legendary to easy?

Post » Sat Mar 23, 2013 7:34 am

I had really hoped Legendary difficulty would be brutal on a Demon Souls kind of way or even more. And at the beginning before you adjusted it was really a step up and the battles feelt interesting and hard again. But that was just because you never needed to really use everything at your disposal before. Now after I have adjusted and have started to enchant weapons, use alchemy more and potions to boost my character and equipment it have started to feel to easy again. I am at level 75. Will it get harder on higher levels or is there a cap for the enemy levels to? Is there any chance there will even another patch with a new difficulty after Legendary?

Well, stop using OP enchantments. Problem solved. Don't use any enchantments at all and Expert will be a struggle for survival. Don't temper your equipment and even Adept starts to sound dangerous.

I have to agree with this. If it becomes to easy, it's because it you made it easy.

Yes, if you make super strong weapons, then you will be super strong.

I do this as well. No enchantments at all, and many challenges to be had on Expert.

100% this. The only reason it seems easy is because you OP'd yourself. If someone quotes me saying that they didn't and it's still too easy, they're obviously lying.

"I made it easy"? I am just playing the game, if you have to put restraints on yourself and not play the best you can or avoid using some equipment, even on the highest difficulty then it is bad game design.

Did you make op weapons using the loop?

Thats not part of the game design.

That is one of the side effects of allowing such freedom. In order to let those who wish to become a demi-god be a demi-god, those that don't want to must limit themselves.

If your actively trying to get the best equipment in the game by using alchemy enchanting and smithing all together then your not playing the game as it was designed

I don't think you know what I mean by bad game design if you write something like this. And why would anyone not want to use these things, they are part of the game. And loot and getting better equipment have always been a huge part in any rpg. To have to limit yourself because the game is "broken" is not an excuse. And if it is broken, why have it not been fixed?

I agree that if you make everything as strong as you can, you are over powered. I play on adept with no enchantments or tempered equipment. I play basic barbarian beat'em up style and find myself running away more then I'd like so I can heal and regroup. If its too easy. use basic stuff....

There is a difference between looting and getting better equipment and looping to make stuff over-powered.
