Finally, I can keep levelling up in the skills that I want, rather than having to grind in skills that I don't want my character using. This is a step in the right direction, Bethesda. :)

Legendary difficulty FTW!

Anyone catching how these Legendary skills are going to work? So I just loose all my progress in a skill in exchange for reaching a higher level?

OMG they fixed two bugs I hoped they left untouched: The oghma infinium, and the proudspire locked door.

I wonder what will be the effects of taking a skill to legendary (the skill is resetted to 15). At the moment we get a skill to 100, for example smithing, and getting the dragon smithing perk, if we keep using it, it will revert back to 15 and we won't be able to craft any dragon equipment?

It says it will return its perks. Seems like perk resetting.

Fixed rare instance of couriers who would appear only dressed in a hat
Nooooooooo!

Seriously, though, nice to see a good number of bugfixes in there.

According to the list, both have been fixed.

That's what I feared. I don't like this then, just imagine to drop from 100 in one handed to 15...it will leave you helpless in front of any enemy past lvl 50.

'Fixed rare issue with bounty quest objectives not properly clearing after completion'

Does this mean that I will lose (or at least not get more of) 'Return to Brina Merlis to receive bounty' messages stuck in my misc objectives list?

For a change, this list has a lot of things that I've actually run into. Unfortunately, it looks like I still won't be able to tell that woman at the mill I found her husband.

But setting a skill to legendary is optional, we don't have to use it. Thinking I'll wait until this goes out of beta and see what the final result is. I do like the bug fixes though.

Absolutely. The different difficulty modes are all pretty pointless, since all it does is jack up the enemies health and damage to unreasonable amounts, meaning typical bandit marauder's iron sword almost instantly disembowels me while my daedric sword hits him like a pillow.

Increased health is not the same as increased difficulty, Bethesda.

Edit: Still though, the bug-fixes for the console users are nice, so the update is definitely appreciated.

Anyone know how to actually set the game to Legendary difficulty? Or was that more of a phrase to go with the Legendary skills? I tried on the difficulty slider and it maxes at Master still.

You do not seem to understand the point of legendary skills

It allows us to level up with the skills we actually use, by legendarying and reaching 100 again, and again, a side effect is that we have infinite level ups
You win a perk point by leveling up

The new (relevant) level cap would be 252, at which point you have enough points to unlock all perks, because the point you had already spent are returned to you as perk points

That is, of course, assuming Beth did not remove perk-up and attribute-up when you level up
So...we have infinite health/stamina/magicka too?

Would this theoretically allow destruction to get stronger? Or when the perks reset do they just go away or would they stack? If so, I am a happy mage!

That won't work because the enemies will level up with you and that means lower leveled NPCs will just be fodder. At level 30 they are wear as it is

Is this a new difficulty setting aswell (harder than master) or just the "here have my EVERYTHING" setting to let you be Jesus H. Christ?
The patch notes made it sound like there's a difficulty setting higher than master, but some posts make it sound like "legendary difficulty setting" might just be this "here have everything" mode.

I think it is higher than Master, just if you work for it you can become godlike. But I am just basing it off of what little I know. I could be completely wrong.
