Legion and Stormcloaks

For the most part, I'll just play it by ear and observe what they do. I may decide to simply not get involved and go do something else.

Isn't the whole Rebels vs. Empire (there's gotta be some sort of Star Wars reference somewhere in that storyline) separate from the Main Quest?

lol I hope this is just forum talk.. rebels are always the good guys.. LOL

Also I'm doubting anything related to the disconnected crazy plot line of NV.

Also also, games gon be good B|. Sit back and enjoy the show instead of being a skeptic.

Don't get me wrong, I'm more excited for Skyrim than any other game out there but I want to know every little peice of useless info before it comes out lol.
And I'm not skeptical about the game, it's the people on these forums who I'm questioning. :P

To think that rebels are always Da Good Guys is an ignorant notion...

You want an American Example? The South seceding and rebelling against the Union. Yeah, totally the good guys, those slave-holding, estate-owning folk whose asses the American "Empire" kicked.

You want a South/Central American Example? The Cuban Revolution. Communists took power and took one of the Caribbean's flourishing economies and turned it into a hole.

You want an African example? Congo.

You want an Asian example? China (Communists), Vietnam (Communists again).

You want a European example? The Russian revolution.

I sadly cannot provide any Australian or Antarctic examples. But these were all just from the twentieth century (save the American Civil War) where the rebels were very obviously the bad guys. I can provide more from other time periods, but I believe the point is made. Sometimes rebels are rebelling because they are just a bunch of selfish, greedy, or power-hungry asses. Hell, a convincing argument could be made for the Founding Fathers largely fitting into that description.

Personally, I'm making an Imperial and I'm going to wait and see. Might Dances With Wolves-it and go Stormcloaks if they're suitably pro-Talos. Or I might serve the Empire if it turns the Thalmor are pulling the Stormcloaks' strings.
