Legion Assassins are tough

They were holding the Powder Gang captive, though I wasn't friendly with them at the time I don't see any collaboration by taking these people hostage, in an apocolypse working together would be the best thing, that's why I am trying to unite all of soceity in the wasteland.

Good idea, but i would take out threats like the Legion and NCR army (civilians should live, in the end they would probably join you if u were better then the NCR) and of course i would take out House. Uniting is best done with war.

How often will I be running into these groups? Because ditching Boone and wearing Legion Armor sounds like it will be a constant thing.

About once every 3 or 4 in game days but ditching boone is just cuz he is hostile at sight and you dont want that to happen for now, do you? Its just a temporary mesure anyways

So far the best way I've found to deal with this "problem" is this:

Obtain the Legions faction armor to blend in. It will save me until I make it north to New Vegas, I have to be weary though and maybe train with the NCR and become a Ranger, but I need to get some better armor penetration weaponry to take them on later.

Is skyrim that linear? I have heard that theres only three ways to go about combat and that the dialogue is leagues from that in new vegas but is it really that bad?

If you are really sadistic, you could play Skyrim and see for yourself, but you could also open a thread in their forums and get the answers.

There would be so much internet screaming. People saying that writing is a thing of the past and that only graphics and beautifulness matters. Plus then that there must be SO many trolls in there right now, skyrim is the new COD you know.

To the OP, you do know that they don't spawn if you are wearing faction armor, right? I actually had the opposite problem that you did a few days ago, I wanted them to appear so I could kill them for their stuff, but they wouldnt ever show up. Turns out it was because I was wearing NCR armor. So just do that. NCR armor tends to have better DT and is easier to find anyway, plus that way you don't have to worry about Boone or getting shot at by troopers like you would if you were wearing Legion Armor.

This will be nifty to try. I can take them, but some days I just don't want the bother. In my recent game I just got some NCR armor. I've been hounded by assassin squads since 5th level after taking down the bunch left behind at Nipton.

I guess if might depend on your factional standing then...

It makes sense, they get sent at you if you are hated, and they change reputations based on your armor.

Legion assassians are almost cupcakes compared to the NCR hit squad. I always have a much tougher time with the NCR squad compared to the Legion. They do get a bit tougher later levels when they carry Brush Guns though.

Nope. It does make your reputation with them neutral though. So if you are trying to access dialog with a character that requires you to be liked by the NCR, just take off the armor. For example, if you are liked by the NCR, Colonel Hsu at Camp McCarran will give you a key to the NCR Ranger Safehouse, and I knew I was liked but he wasn't offering it to me when I talked to him. But then I figured it out and took off the armor, and he gave me the key.
