Legion playthrough tips

Post » Tue Jun 23, 2015 8:05 am

So I'm doing a Legion playthrough, trying to roleplay as best I can, and also going to be on hardcoe mode on Very Hard difficulty. So, how will I stay in character and survive? Members of the legion don't use meds, do they? Any tips for the easiest ways I could survive without breaking character?

easy. Lots of bighorner steaks to restore HP until you reach level 20. Then, pick up this

Some of my chars have and its absolute awesome.

If you have patient to craft, Cook cook stew and desert salad are great itens. You just need the knowledge of where to look for the ingredients

If not, every time you go to freeside/strip, buy gecko kebabs with Genaro in the north gate on freeside and Wasteland Omelets in The Ultra Luxe restaurant.

oh, forget to say. The best way to survive in a combat it is where the fight ends without having started.

Tag: Guns, survival, SNEAK.

Do not be seen. I guarantee that you will use very few healing items.

I only play on very hard and I spend hours without using one.

Or you could make a backstory that supports med use.

Something like you were born in a vault full of Asians who practiced traditional martial arts (tag unarmed or melee) and were high tech geneticists (tag medicine and energy weapons). Your vault was attacked by raiders and everyone was killed, you were enslaved. You manage a bloody escape that kills most of the raiders but their leader catches you at the end. As he is about to kill you Caesar himself arrives with his Praetorians and slays him. Caesar is impressed with your talent and tenacity and adopts you. You then go forth as his envoy and help the Legion while being undercover in the land of the profligate.

It works for a female courier as well to explain why you'd serve Caesar.

Just because the rank and file legionnaire does not use meds does not mean that highly trained and valuable undercover assets are not allowed to do whatever is required to complete the mission. I always took it to be a way to save limited resources with a side benefit of weeding out the weak rather than something akin to the Ten Commandments.

With a good survival skill, you don't need stimpaks or chems. Desert Salad, Wasteland Omlets, Trail Mix, Caravan Lunches give you far better healing buffs than stimpaks. Nuka Cola drinks, Datura Hide, Wasteland Tequila, Sierra Madre Martini offer better buffs than chems. And the Good Eatin' perk makes it too easy.

Play an undercover agent of the Legion. Then you can use and do anything, as long as it furthers Caesar's goals.

Ops, I remember now. Red paste and blood sausage are banned items in Caesar Legion.

bitter drink is a awesome item, but you only can craft it after LR.

I still do say that "Them Good Eatin" doesn't have to be used for health. I just use it as a good money maker. Seriously, 150 caps minimum? Worth it.

Also you can make healing poultices which heal more than a stimpack, also heal limbs, and only require a broc flower, xander root, cave fungus, Nevada agave fruit and a survival skill of 20.
You also need the honest hearts dlc.

But yeah, they're a survival item and basically a tribal medicine, so it makes sense for a legion character to use.
