So far with the character I'm currently playing, I've avoided the MQ completely. It's been nice and dragon-free. I already played through the MQ on a different character and thought this time it would be nice to have a dragon-less game. However, apparently, the Imperial Legion quest line forces you to do some of the MQ, and, I assume, the mission that causes dragons to start spawning: when you kill the first dragon. I got the letter from general Tuleous, but the Jarl of Whiterun won't do anything about it until I kill the dragon. I think it's stupid that we have to start the MQ and cause dragons to spawn in order to complete the Legion Quest line. Anyone else annoyed about this?
