I've recently been playing my first-ever play-through again and I just slaughtered the Fort, Cottonwood Cove, Nipton (Legionaries), and Caesar himself. I have yet to encounter hit squads, even though these crimes were committed hours (real time) ago. Despite spending several weeks (in-game time) wandering the wasteland, they haven't caught up with me yet. Is this a bug?

I've heard these guys are tough, but I don't quite understand it yet as I have yet to encounter them.

...and yes, my reputation is vilified.

Is Boone really so intimidating the legion will not fight me, or could I have a bug on my hands? Any potential fixes are welcome.
