Does anybody think they have an idea of how long the multiplayer demo will out for? I remember playing the AvP multiplayer demo for xbox and about 2 weeks later it was taken off. So will Crysis 2 demo be taken off after 2 weeks or will it be shorter?

it will definantly last longer than 2 weeks i assure you, if its anything like the crysis 1 demo it will last at least a year or two

I honestly believe that this demo was only a marketing push for Crysis 2 on the 360. It's new to the console, and this is the best way to introduce the entire console to the game. Throw a demo up on the Marketplace, and if it's good, interest and sales SKYROCKET up for this game. They already know it'll do well on PC, but they need some way to reach out to the consoles and grab their attention. This is their way of doing it.

As for the PS3, who knows.

Also, given the time it is coming out and how long it's lasting, I wouldn't be surprised if, like BLoodyghost said, there was an all platform singleplayer demo to be released in the few weeks leading up to the release.

Lets hope for a SP demo for ALL platforms this time. Everyone deserves the chance to try out the game on the platform that they will be playing it on.

just joking The crysis demo was a realy good thing in 2007 and I realy hope they make Single or multyplayer Deom for crysis 2 as well and to all platforms!

THIS!!! I've been mentioning this quite a lot! Crytek & EA and only trying to promote the game on the 360 because Crysis is new to the 360 and has a HUGE community so its the best way to make the game known.

I also believe there will be a Single Player demo on ALL platforms. Crytek & EA must feel that they need to show the Multiplayer off to the 360 community to give it lasting appeal to them since it seems that Xbox 360 players love their Multiplayer FPS games.

Makes sense. Even at the conventions the PC version wasnt mouse and keyboard controls BUT Xbox Controller hooked up with them.

I doubt the next SP demo will be a exclusive, if it is then it is a safe bet that the Xbox was the flagship for the game.

But IT WONT HAPPEN.

If the xbox is the flagship, they may as well have not bothered using the cryengine 3, they should've just used the unreal engine and be done with it!

Official statement from EA. Sorry man, that svcks. Always chances for more demos, as they got plenty of time.

Could you link me to a statement i find it hard to take things as factual in this quite emotional forum. Got to decide if i get a HDMI xbox and how long to subscribe to gold.

There will be a free Gold weekend from the 26th-28th, so you wont even need gold for three days.

I truly believe that this is to peak interest in the game for 360, and that a SP demo will come out for everyone sooner or later. maybe at the beginning-ish of March.

I would not trust some one who claims to have got personalised email based news from any one.
