I think once you increase the brightness a bit on the 360 it'll look alright. The edges in PS3 looks too jaggy imo, I presume there's no aa on the PS3 one then?

I think the Xbox version looks better. Though it just seems to be a matter of brightness.

Once the disk is spinning and you are engaged in the playing of playing the game, all these comparisons become moot. Your brain can't actually see the difference unless you have them side by side while you're playing, and even then you probably couldn't actually process the difference when you are actually playing the game. More over, any emotional conclusion you make based on such a comparison is only as strong as your belief that it is infact real. If you tell yourself that your system is blurry and lame, you will see it that way and look for evidence of that for confirmation. But, if you just let that all go and allow yourself to become immersed in the playing of playing the game, that stuff falls away.

Just enjoy why you have, because getting caught up in the comparison is an illusion. Once you're trying to hack that enemy strong point, it won't matter if it is as bright an crisp as that other system because you ain't playing that other one(or are depending on which side of the console division you are on), and what you are currently seeing is all that you are actually processing.

Moral of the post, learn to enjoy what is.

This is akin to saying it doesn't matter that your hot sports car is full of dents and rust spots... but it doesn't matter... because you won't see the outside of your car while driving it. The notion that this does not affect your experience is disingenuous at best.

Graphics werent Brinks downfall IMO. I couldn't care less about graphics, it was the gameplay that turned me off.

Not a huge difference, the PS3's looks slightly sharper and cleaner but overall very little difference.

Not at all. I'm talking about the reality of perception and that in reality, once you aren't looking at both versions your mind can not process a difference. But, you still can perceive(imagine) a loss of quality, and then you will look for evidence to support that. It's a reality of comparative thinking. Now, I guess if you had both systems it might be nice to know ahead of time which one is looking best, but for those have one or the other system, it's far better to let go the idea of comparative thinking and instead just enjoy what they have, because in reality their mind can not tell the difference once the disk is spinning and the bullets are flying.

In regards to your comparison, the only difference in the experience of driving a shiny new car and a dented up dirty version of it will be how the driver perceives the image of the self through the lens of culture. But, that lens isn't real, it's a fantasy we build around cultural memes that we build identities around. If it's actually about driving the car, and not about what people are thinking about you while you drive the car, then the experience doesn't change. It is a situation where it is one's hold on their cultural identifiers and how readily those identifiers control the individual.

But I digress, the point is, do you want a cup half full or half empty? Because it really does matter to how you perceive the world around you.

I couldn't agree more.
I own both consoles. During the PSN outage, I went back to the 360 and found it
to be overwhelmingly disappointing compared to the PS3.

If I had never purchased a PS3, I would've always thought that the 360 was better.
After owning the PS3, the 360 is just horrible. It's like going from a fine gaming pc to a nintendo wii.

I honestly can't see much of a difference. The only thing I really saw, was the PS3's guns and walls looked a little better. But I didn't buy the game to stare at guns and walls, so....

Honestly, I'm on PS3, but I'm not a hugely overzealous really devoted fan, and I have friends with XBox 360s, and they're a great console too.

From a close anolysis of those screenshots, here's my take on things.

XBox - Better Antialiasing (AA). Lines are smoother, but at a (very slight) cost of detail. Also, some of the XBox screenshots look like the brightness has been set wrong, and that negatively impacts things. There's a big "but" on that though - some look like they're too bright, while others look like they're not bright enough. Also worth noticing is the lack of subtlety in the shadows.

PS3 - No AA, or if there is, it's badly done. BUT there's a small amount of detail that AA washes out, so the PS3 gets slightly more clear imaging, at the cost of some areas looking a little jagged around the edges. Also, from the look of it, the PS3 has MUCH better shadow rendering, with more a more subtle and real-looking fade between dark and light.

Honestly, unless I was checking it for myself, and had the ability to appropriately adjust the brightness and other settings on the TV to appropriate levels for each console, I can't make a 100% confident judging, but I'm going to make my statement based on what I have seen.

I'd personally prefer the PS3 version (which is good, because it's the only version I have the option of getting), but I know other people who'd consider the PS3's lack of AA to be a serious problem.

Final verdict (predictably enough): PC WIN! (must be said in Tekken announcer voice)
