So I lent my friend Dragon Age II and he lent me ME1 and ME2

Post » Sun Jul 04, 2010 3:51 pm

so i played ME1 for about 5 hours and became a spectre out tto hunt some kind of thing and HEY NEW SMILEY :tes: any way after that i saved and then tried Me2 and i like teh shoooting more head shots actually register and i was too busy fighting off stuff in teh beggining to tell if there was a mini map or not + i had some voice telling me where i needed to go which was very useful

any way after trying ME2 is it too late to forget abotu teh awesomeness that was in improvments to go back to ME1 ?

If you finish Mass Effect 1 before you play the second game, it will read your saves and change the game based on the choices you made.

I recommend finishing the first game first.

Then again you don't really seem like you care much about the story so it probably wouldn't make a difference what game you start with.

Also, we already have a http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1177811-mass-effect/

Anyway I think that it is never too late to forgetabotutehawesomenessthatwasinimprovments, because there's nothing to forget IMHO. Everything you've described is a sign of how worse ME2 has become (transition from RPG to FPS, streamlining, general dumb-downing etc.) so I don't see any of it as something which should stop you from going back to ME1.

Ef, throw away the ME games, Hitman is the only one you need to play.

You are two for two in my books.

ME2 was horrible. The final boss?? I'd rather play Two Worlds...

This. Though to answer your question, if you play through the original (and better game) first, then you can port over your character, and it will actually integrate your feats and choices into the second game. I recommend doing this, though you will have to start another Mass Effect 2 file to take advantage of the crossover.

Meh, didn't really do much for me. It gave me a bonus to resources which I actually did like because it meant spending less time playing the incredibly boring minigame.

I just felt like the little references to things that happened in the first game were pretty cool. If nothing else they served as a definitive reminder that this game was really the Mass Effect sequel . . .

I started a ME2 game, then went out and bought ME1, and beat it first, to make my ME2 playthough more personal. I had no Problems going back to ME1, the gameplay is dang good, and the rpg stuff in it was cool to mess with. Not to mention the story is great, love both ME1 and 2. Hitman: BM is also great fun, I had some good times choking people out...good times...

Yeah, you traded up letting him borrow DA2 fr those three games, for sure.

True, it needed that because that almost couldn't be concluded from anything else (no sarcasm).

I would have to agree because I heard DA2 was horrible. I'm not entirely sure if I'll even try it.
