"36 lessons of vivec read aloud"

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:46 pm

OK, so somebody tried to search for this in Google and ended up at my blog, so it was in my search referrals: "36 lessons of vivec" read aloud

And all I could think was,: how amazing would that be? I would listen to an audiobook of the Sermons forever and ever. Assuming it was read by someone good!

I have no idea of the copyright issues here, but anyone wanna make some read-aloud soundfiles? Anyone?

K.

In high school, we had this thing called 'declamation," where we had to memorize and recite something, usually a monologue or poem. My brother did sermon fourteen. It does sound good.

The teacher, and myself (well, sort of, as much as I understood anything from any Sermon). The next year he did the "little story" from Morrowind, and I did Mankar Camoran's speech. Which were a lot more straightforward.

Sermon Fourteen? The infamous passage of belly-magic and and love accidentally shaped like a spear and earth becoming wet from the biting of a banquet of said spears?
Personally, that's not what I would have picked to recite in public. :ermm:

That was exactly why he picked it.

I have a thing of me reciting 35 somewhere, though I'm hardly a professional orator. I'm also a chick, which doesn't exactly make me a fitting Vivec.

Well, they aren't told in the first-person, so I don't think it matters.
And Vivec DOES have the whole "magical hermaphrodite" thing going on.

Didn't Vivec change genders at one point?

I think if we got thirty six people, we could set up a mass reading as a community event. I'd be game for it.

I can't imagine what hearing 14, without the rest, sounds like...

My first thought is Alan tudyk, of serenity fame, because of his work in "I, robot".

Lol, we should do a TES movie casting thread!

Nope. Well, some of it was bs, but nope it is a bachelor's of science. Which is funny because all of my sciencey friends all got BAs.

I think your voice lacked range, like the person you were talking to was in your face. You were holding back better. Also, were you standing up?
