Let Crytek speak for themselves fanboys.

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:11 am

Sorry as a gamer with no relation to the company, except for purchasing their product, what makes you their representative?

Where do you people speaking on their behalf get your information from, that the rest of us are missing?

Rare one line replies from a community mod buried within posts by other gamers?

Sorry if you don't work for Crytek then please STFU about what Crytek are or aren't doing, how they feel or what they think.

Oh and please while practicing your right to having an opinion on here, don't tell us that don't agree to be silent and that we don't have that same right and look up the meaning to the word "hypocrite" or "dictator".

Maybe look up the definition of Troll (internet) also. Just disagreeing with someone, having a different opinion, and not 100% praising Crysis 2, does not a troll make.

Also please have a better argument than "CRYSIS 2 IS AWESUMZ" "IT WORKZ 4 ME SO BE QWIETZ" for defending Crytek and maybe read all the bug reports before you open your mouth/type.

Cheers, Doomed.

Lol.

Troll.

But no, seriously... I agree, I want more information from Crytek, not just it's community fanboys. I get annoyed when people say "I was talking to my uncles brother-in-law's sister's kid... who said..."

I don't care what whoever the hell you spoke to said, I want to hear from the REAL people. I have spoken to EA about Lag issues, and dedicated servers... I won't tell you my outcome and what I got. Because if you want to know, you can just as well go talk to them yourselves...

Stop posting about what you think is what Crytek are doing... They aren't going to change a damn thing... I've come to accept that... deal with it...

Gets a tad annoying seeing "Crytek are still here" and similar from fanboys when Crytek hasn't said anything or interacted with us themselves.

Not only basically repeating what the mods have said like "Crytek have listened and are working on a patch" but elaborating on it, when none of us as I pointed out, have heard anything from them at all except Tom and Adam's inputs.
It must be great being psychic. Wish I was just like these 12 year olds seem to be.

If I had to assume what contact with EA or Crytek would get you, I'd have to say nothing except a lot of hold music.

On the positive, they have a Crysis facebook page that thankfully keeps most of the trolls and "1337 fanboys" from being here.

I want to support Crysis 2 and be optimistic, but I will not be surprised if when/if we maybe see a patch, not long after will be a forum post saying:

"goodbye and thanks for all the fish: Crytek"

Hey im a fanboy, but in the sense of being a fan of the game:)! lol but no seriously Crytek staff are alot more active on twitter and facebook, so check those options out as well. There are about 6-8 different crysis and crytek related sites and social media outlets that these guys are running, so youll likely find them somewhere throughout the day.You can find most of the links on the homepage in the bottom right area, check em out, crymod a personal fav of mine i like to visit regular, is a great site and full of useful information.

Go to IW forums, and see how many people raged at FourZeroTwo, for being active on a social networking site, and not his teams official forum. (Regarding his game announcements, personal life is a different story) it makes no sense. Community managers/mods are meant to make the forums feel useful, and engaging with consumers. It feels as if they only respond to enforce rules.

I'm holding onto Crysis 2, in hope.

Most of my remarks are because some of you guys seem like your life depends on the integrity of Crysis 2. As is, it is already a quality product. If you've played your fair share of games over the years, there have been some that have launched in far worse shape, and never had any upkeep. Some of these games were still downright fun, others not so much.

Anyone ever play Bionic Commando, the retail game for 360/PS3? The lag in that made Crysis 2 at it's worst seem like utter perfection.. yet it was, in my opinion, one of the most fun MP games of the generation. Nobody bought it, though, forcing the game studio to close down and everyone to lose their jobs before even a patch could come out. There's a lot of stress in being a game developer, and sometimes deadlines and headache problems can sink your ship.

There's an official Crytek Twitter account under the name NanoSmartCasual located here: http://twitter.com/#!/nanosmartcasual

A tweet posted on that page states the following:

"Developers are working full time on patches and DX11, the web team doesn't work on this so can produce other things." -May 17th, 2011

Yes, Crytek desperately needs a new community team, but they haven't abandoned the game. Just relax, guys.

Oddly enough I am on the Crysis FB page and apart from "free codes" I've seen jack sh1t posted, and for me one social site is enough. I don't "twitter" and shouldn't be and won't be forced to. What I expect is that when they direct you to the "official" site, that they use it. We shouldn't have to use 3rd party sites to find out what the hell is going on.

Asikokami: If it's the xbox bug thread, that was started by a user, all Crytek did was have one of their mods sticky it.
