Let's get pedantic!

Skyrim's great and all but damn if there aren't too many typos, spelling errors and grammar problems. Some of us find these sorts of things as annoying as an out-of-tune piano or fingernails on a chalkboard. Meanwhile, some of you are to clue less to see any thing rong with this sentince. Oh well.

Two things that continue to annoy me:

Sven the bard in Riverwood calls Faendal's note "dribble" when he clearly should have called it "drivel" (childish talk).

Sybille Stentor, Solitude's court mage, warns you that this world is "ripe" with people looking to spill your blood, when she should have said "rife" (meaning abundant, plentiful, or numerous).

I expect to see these fixed around patch 12.009821 or so.

I don't use subtitles, and most of the words they say are taken with a grain of salt. You may do well by turning off your brain for a moment and actually enjoying the experience of being in a completely different world than your own where things don't really matter as much as spelling and grammar.

Hahah.

Or never.

Honestly, I don't expect good story or dialogue from Bethesda, so I kind of just let it wash over me most of the time. There are very few quests or interactions in which I actually pay attention to what's happening.

The ones that manage to pull me out of my stupor are the really good ones. Viz., they have a coherent, riveting plot and serviceable dialogue, and no spelling or grammar mistakes.
