Let us be grateful for the lack of new information.

I think we all ready know too much, and have already had a few surprises spoiled for us, now this will not keep me from searching for new info because my excitement just won't let me. I wonder how many of you agree with me.

Now for what I wish I didn't know. I wish I did not know it starts with us being lead to our execution, I wish I did not know about the grey beards, I wish I didn't know about the 7000 steps, or that we're dohvakin, I wish I didn't know that the grey beards shout loudly dohvakin before we find out (in game) that we are, that would have had a huge air of mystery. Wish I didn't didn't know we'd find out we're dohvakin because of a dragon encounter. All that stuff has really spoiled the surprise, and while it's exciting to hear it does dampen things.

Let's not. I'd prefer to have valid questions answered, such as which skills will actually be in the game, how Speechcraft will work, how Alchemy will work differently, etc. More pictures would be nice, too. They wouldn't have to reveal any of the story or show off dungeons or spoil surprise voice actors that they've promised or even reveal everything about the dragons. The dragons I don't mind them playing close to their chest. It's gameplay mechanics I'm concerned about.

I need to know more, I need to see more (Argonians). If they show me the argonian and a 1 hour demo by Todd I'd be just fine.

I hope you don't mean a 1 hour strip tease...well more than likely you mean a one hour demo of the game, personally I wouldn't mind watching him play the game except he has an obsession with axes...no clue why.....

Disclaimer: As a reminder to the readers of my post any remarks about Todd Howard will always be one with humorous fanatical obsession and not meant to be taken seriously. :shocking:

When your life is kept simple and you can control your imagination, wondrous things happen!

If we see some solid gameplay, i'm wrapped.

I would prefer they release as much information as possible without spoiling quests or the main plot.

A trademark of a bad game is one in which you can spoil just by looking at screenshots.

Before I buy a game I look at every screenshot and read every review.

As for TES, im just waiting till November, Screenshots every month would have been cool. Wouldn't "spoil" much and we'd get to see some cool stuff.

I'm kinda half-n-half on this matter: I want more info, but I don't want them to spoil anything that they don't have too.
If I had to chose the new info I would hear it would be the skill list, more(but not all) about the races and how they will handle traveling speed and encumbrance. Also an almost spoiler free demo-video of the gameplay.

As a potential customer, of course I'd like to know more about the product than I know about it today, without them spoiling too much of the core of the stories being told, since the price of a video game or even its collector's edition isn't something I intend to spend every other day without caring what I get in place. Unless they wait with revealing enough until early autumn, I'm fine with the current flow of information though.

as long as Tod and other developers releases only info regarding gameplay changes
I DON'T WANT a word about story
They already spoiled a few suprises
For example they could only claim that setting is civil war in Skyrim, no word about dragons or being Dragonborn
And when story turns to dragons and Alduin vs Dragonborn prophecy it could be interesting twist
In other words each released info should rise only questions
Instead we allready got a lot of answers

I like to know gameplay details, the basic mechanics of the game. I won't check out any more story related stuff, quest stuff, nor will I watch any more videos of gameplay. I normally "go dark" for these kinds of game by now, but Beth giving out such a slow trickle of info, not enough to satisfy so they keep pulling me back in. I want to know about Mounts, equipment slots,PC UI, jumping on rock and sneak kill exploits, etc Before I stop reading new info.

I'm fine with it. Of course, I didn't want them to announce anything until the game went gold, so I guess that isn't surprising.

We don't know that much when you compare it to all the things we don't know. If you think you know too much already then be careful because in less than 2 weeks E3 will be here.

I can't be grateful for that, sorry. I want much more info and a few screens every week, it still wouldn't spoil the game for me.

Well I'm pretty sure we know what the UI is like, they've explained the menus (on game informers website) and the hud. We also know how hotkeys work, I'm a bit sketchy on the dialog and how that'll work though. Seems to me for the most part it's been explained away.

Wow, glad to know there is at least one other person out there who doesn't want a lot of information like me. I thought I seriously was the only one. Still, not a very big group. Makes me a sad sad panda.

I remember starting Oblivion up for the first time, not knowing a single thing. Heck, I didn't even read the little book thingy that came with it. I may have stared at the added map with a silly grin on my face but I'm not counting that. It was completely new for me, aside from knowing a little bit thanks to Morrowind. I loved the experience because of it. Morrowind itself was the same, even more so because I really knew zilch, aside from Oblivion where I at least knew the races a little bit and how the world worked. It made the experience 'more' I guess.
The same happened with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I still count it as one of the best games ever due to my "Holy S I didn't see that coming despite that I now realise I've been given small hints the entire game" reaction that I still haven't found with any other games. The not knowing anything before going in sort of adds to it.

With Fallout: New Vegas I already knew a lot before it came out and I have never been more dissapointed in a game than I have with that one. Personal opinion so please no flames. It just wasn't new to me. I knew what I had to do in the beginning and how it would go. I knew the end and how to get there. I knew little tid-bits that otherwhise would have been fantastic to find out on my own. Total let-down in the end.

With Dragon Age it sort of was in the middle. I knew some parts and I realised half way through the game that I was just going "yeah, yeah, I know that already, skip ahead." The rest was amazing though.

I understand where you guys and girls are coming from though. I often had a game that I knew nothing about that totally let me down once I started playing it and I would have loved some information so I would have known it wasn't anything I would like. But I doubt I have to worry about that happening with Skyrim. Personally I don't want any information because I know I'll get excited about it and once I start playing the magic will be gone because of it. Still I can't help but stroll around the forum looking for stuff. You guys are going to make me a very sad fangirl one day because of my addiction to you lot. Thanks in advance. XD

More info regarding skills/races/the world/conversations, yes. On the plot? We already know to much. Personally, after Oblivion, learning YOUR the dragonborn could have been a plot twist worthy of Mass Effect.
