Let's have more customization in amor appearance.

Everyone in Oblivion apparently shopped for same brands at the same Ye Olde WalMart for armor and clothes because there was never any real variety with most armor and clothes imo. All the armor looked like it was being mass produced in a factory somewhere based off some cookie cutter template. What I want is a way for armor to have different unique paint schemes, slight variations differing two armors of the same type, and maybe additions to armor that give it an even more unique look and possible enchant it with powers.
In Oblivion the only stealth armor was the Dark Brotherhood shrouded armor, every other armor was big, shiny, and clunky looking, except leather leather. Being a sneaky character wearing big shiny glass armor never looked right, even though it was light armor it was still huge. I'd like to take a piece of equipment and customize it to be black to match my play style or at least have other types of armor/clothing for my character type in game. Someone playing a mage should have more than a small selection of identical pastel colored robes to wear, they should be able to pick a robe and add to it in a way that suites them. A warrior player should really want armor that sets them apart from the enemies too. The armor the guy in the trailer was wearing was cool and all but I wouldn't want every bandit and highwayman to be wearing the exact same thing.
I want a sense of, "yeah this is my armor and my character, I made it look different and more kick--- than the rest". We saw some different looking armor and clothes in the concepts, screenshots, and trailer, so I hope at least they have the large variety I'm looking for with player clothing.
Discuss whether you think this is a good idea or not and add your own suggestions and ideas on the matter.

I was fine with Morrowinds system of apparel.

I liked being able to don a nice fancy robe over my spiky daedric armor, and mix and match pauldrons/gloves.

That's all the customization I need, although I wouldn't say no to more customization than that.

Well one of pluses of Morrowind equipment system was ability without creation of additional armor suits create variety of equipment for example
in Oblivion band of Marauders will have full suits of glass daedric or ebony or dwemer armors lesser variety in equipment because Oblivion have lesser number of equipment slots
in Morrowind band of Marauders will have more unique look even if they use equipment from the same leveled list because they can have different pauldrons gloves and clothing over it, battlemages will use cuirass and robes and or use pauldrons so even boring design of robes from oblivion can be more unique, as well our Marauders will actually looks like Marauders who robe some one and divide the spoil so there will no Marauders in clean full set.
So having more equipment slots can make NPC more unique even if they will use smaller number of sets, the same goes to player character especially on consoles since they didn't have mods for expanding variability for characters.
