Let's be honest, who reloaded after "accidentaly" sh

Post » Fri Feb 05, 2010 1:07 pm

I did :D

Seriously though, I walk accross the bridge and I see an ennemy so I start shooting, how the hell was I supposed to know that there was a scripted event that eventually would spawn a fella behind? they should have been also a scripted event to prevent your character for making that kind of mistake ( like when you get trapped at the beginning of Dead Money)

Bad move, Sawyer, bad move,I bet at least half of the people who played the dlc didn't even bother to reload, they probably just kept moving foward and shoot everything, not good if you wanted to deliver a proper story.

I pay attention to the compass instead of acting like a psychotic maniac, so, not me.

I did the smart thing and took cover when I noticed a sniper on higher ground.

Couple of seconds later... sniper = gone, Chalk remains.

Yup, there I was minding my own business and a sniper start shooting at me. I turn, shoot until everything stops moving and it says quest failed. I was like huh? Only after reloading did I even notice that it was not two enemies that were up there.

I picked up a grenade launcher from one of the murdered caravan guards. Some dude up on a rock shot at me so I gave him a present! After the quest failed I was like huh, maybe I can try putting on one of the tribal outfits and run up to him. Got it on the second try so not too bad. I was hoping to save the caravaneers but they just started shooting the ground and their heads exploded even after I killed all the tribals lol

Looks like certain people just like to squeeze the trigger without paying attention to their surroundings or carefully choosing their shots.

I shot Chalk too. I was about halfway across the bridge, took fire, and scrambled back across the bridge to find cover, never did see where the shots came from. Shot the first person I saw on the other side of the bridge, and got all the "quest failed" popups and knew something wasn't right.

I also tried about 3 times to save the caravan, and finally realized they were going to die, even if I killed all the Tangos first.

I have all the red and green NPC indicators completely turned off so I have to visually see all NPC’s and determine friend from foe as opposed to having magical “spidey-sense”. It adds a total new level of immersion and realism to my experience.

I shot him once, but when he didn’t return fire I stopped. He has about 1 tick of health left when I got to him, lol.

Side note: Follows-Chalk is a pretty good compainion.

His pistol is gnarly and he has a silly baseball cap.

Little annoying to listen to though.

*Raises Hand* He was too far away to see the compass marker and I just assumed it was another violent tribe that was enemies with The White Legs.

launcher a mini-nuke in the general direction and instantly failed a multitude of quests, but gained a ton of satisfaction. there's not much that mini-nukes can't solve with their new updated stats.

Honestly, first time through he was hostile as it was standing on the cliff alone. I killed him, failed the quests, reloaded and he was friendly.

During the first time i did it I killed Follows-chalk and it didn't say quest failed or anything. So I went though and killed off the Sorrows and left

I didn't shoot him the first time, but not for lack of trying.

When I saw the guy up on the hill start firing at me I pulled out the anti material rifle I had just picked up and shot him dead in the chest and killed him. Then I saw follows back there sneaking up on him, and assumed it was a white leg. I fire 2 or 3 rounds at him, missing each time because he was behind a tree and I was guessing where I could get him through the leaves until he finally initiated dialogue with me.
