Let's hope NPC's are less robotic and more human

Since there are over 13,000 lines of recorded dialog, hopefully Bethesda took notes from Skyrim's http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23390/? and fixed it so that NPCs in Fallout 4 at least respect you over time and acknowledge your accomplishments. Especially once you've proven your PC to be a valuable asset. The last thing you should have to deal with is being belittled with the same static and looped responses from NPCs who are already very familiar with your PC's presence and accomplishments.

I don't expect all NPCs to kiss my ass, worshiping the ground I walk on. Though after achieving a high ranking position in The Companions, the last thing I want is to for city guards to still refer to me as a 'milk drinker'. Or when I slay a dragon in front of city guards and town residents, they acknowledge what I did, right then and there, though the next time I see them, it's like I never did anything and those same NPCs revert back to the same looped, static, sometimes still belittling replies.

I know this is a bit of a stretch, though It would also be nice if the gradual respect or acknowledgement didn't only come from completing quests or objectives, and also came from random occurrences like helping out city guards and civilians fend off a raider attack.

Agreed, that was one of the goofiest thing about Skyrim npcs, we shall see, but I'm staying optimistic, despite what cynics may think otherwise, Beth do keep a ear on the community and ya not the first to remark about skyrims npcs.

those 13000 lines are just for yourself ;) i think we should expect a vibrant amount of dialog given the vast amount of it

You are aware that like 90% of the stuff in that mod was stuff in the vanilla game, and all they did was change some values around to make certain comments appear more?

So? Even if they're there, doesn't mean that they used them well. And if the mod works just like the OP wants Fallout 4 to be, then it's definetely a great one.

Well considering a faction will use robots called synths, I think some robot like motions might be needed.

Yeah I know. I read about it in the mod description.

What I'm saying is, I hope Bethesda made the smart decision of including gradual respect, NPC dialog rather than a higher percentage of Fallout 4's dialog being varied PC responses. Nothing more immersion breaking than NPC's repeating the same insulting, sarcastic, static replies, regardless of your accomplishments.

"Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying? Of course you don't."

GOD DAMMIT NAZEEM I'M THERE EVERY SINGLE DAY BEING THANE AND SAVING YOUR CITY AND CAPTURING LIVE DRAGONS IN THE FREAKING CASTLE maybe YOU don't get to the Cloud District very often, ever think of that? Don't worry, I can help you get there in record time with just three simple words... fus, ro, and dah. God dammit Nazeem.

So um yes, I would like to see some improvements in this area.

Lol, Skyrim has more NPCs with goofy, sarcastic remarks than anything else.

That old prune lady in Whiterun sarcastically asking me, 'Come to chat with an old lady hmmmm? Do your good deed for the day?' Like no prune lady, I'll save your silly son later after I find a mammoth tusk for that Khajit caravan lady.

Or that stock boy in Belethor's shop telling me 'I work for Belethor at the general good's store' while I'm watching him sweep the floor inside of Belethor's shop.
