Let's make up lesser Daedra

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:59 pm

Okay, so we know that the following Daedra Princes have these lesser Daedra as their servants:

Azura: Winged Twilight
Boethia: Hunger
Hircine: Herne
Malacath: Ogrim
Mehrunes Dagon: Scamp, Clannfear, Dremora
Mephala: Spider Daedra
Merdia: Auroran
Molag Bal: Daedroth
Sheogorath: Golden Saint, as Jyggalag: Knight of Order

This leaves a few Princes without any servants, and a few lesser Daedra without Princes. Let's make up lesser Daedra for the princes that have none. List name, appearance, and powers.

I don't have any ideas right now, but I would transfer the Scamps to Clavicus Vile. After all, the two look alike.

Hircine's minions are mainly Werecreatures.

Don't know much about the other Princes, and i'm not gonna make anything up.

Threads involving 'Making Up' don't do very good here.

Well, I wasn't sure where it would go, so feel free to move it if you see fit.

Don't think it'll need a move.

Sanguine: A sort of sixy dancing Daedroth, with Moon Sugar stalks growing out of her head. We'll call her the Eratos.

Vaermina: A giant slug that can cast Blind and Silence spells. We'll call it a Slug Daedra.

Clavicus Vile: Texan Oil Tycoons with purple skin and yellow eyes. We'll call them Grubbers.

Sheogorath has Mazken (Dark Seducers) as well as Aureals, he also seems to like Hungers according to some inhabitants of the isles, however Hungers are mostly associated with Boethiah. Some Mazken served Mehrunes too however, and we know from an interview that we don't know much about lesser Daedra and their allegiences. Scamps are also seen with Sheogorath (staff of Everscamp).

A minion I came up with a while back for Nocturnal. Kinda like a banshee, the Banshae is a little more feminine than a wraith, and must be killed twice. Kinda lame, but I like it just the same.

This bad boy is for Vaernima, Prince of Nightmares. So I fashioned him to be nightmarish in design. His brain is exposed, and his skin is a sickly green and sandpapery. He walks like a Morrowind Argonian with his double jointed legs, and has a second set of arms that end in a single pointed claw on his chest. he has no lips, so that nasty smile never fades away. His dress is inspired by executioner outfits.

A powerful destruction mage, he is also quick and muscular, though still only slightly faster than a Daedroth.

I don't think that Knights of Order are actually Daedra; they're another type of immortal creature.

I tend to agree. They are said to be soulless (let's not get into the fact that IIRC they are imperials in the CS :D) and pretty much seem like robots to me.

I would consider them constructs, true golems, unlike the Atronachs.

It seems most likely the underlings can work for whoever they want, especially considering how many we've seen working for Dagon across the series. If we do pidgeon-hole them all, Clavicus Vile already has the cool looking Gate Guardians and his dog.

http://www.imperial-library.info/interviews/si_interview.shtml says that Knights of Order are not Daedra, but something else.

Yea, I'd like to see those guys show up again...

You've also got unaccounted for the Morphoid Daedra, Xivilai, Vermai...

Weren't the Seducers part with Nocturnal, except for a lot who joined wit Mehrunes Dagon, in Battlespire? Anywho...I would imagine Vermai's daedra to be nightmarish in features. I have a feeling they're are most likely formless, and only become formed to become nightmares of mortals. For Peryite, it would have to look like something that would resemble a diseased looking thing, or slaves (he's too damn conflicting, we need real data on him!!).

Yes. But they were mercenaries ("Lordless warriors" as Deyanira put it) even when they were working for Nocturnal. They were never described as being Nocturnal's creations, or even as having any more than a casual working relationship with her. Jaciel Morgen and Deyanira Katrece (who were indisputably Nocturnal's own loyal daedra) were emphatically not Seducers/Mazken, but were described as "Nocturnals" (just as Dagon's daedra were occasionally referred to collectively as "the Dagon").

From what we see in Battlespire, "Nocturnals" are semi-nvde emo girls with dusky skin and white hair. I guess we can add them to the list of known lesser daedra. I'm sure we can come up with a better name for them, though...

Hermaeus Mora's underlings -naturally- rarely take form outside of the epistemological. As inspirers of both sudden epiphany and laborous study, they prefer to exist in countless guises, such as rejected theorems, normally unaccessible thinking paths, margin glosses and stubborn id?es fixes. Rumour has it that the entire theology faculty of the University of Gwylim was at a time possessed by a gnostic demon, leading to a forced retirement of many of its senior members.

The tentacle-bearded minions of Hermaeus Mora, they feast upon the earth bones, mutating them into something else, something forbidden and shifting. As they eat upon the pillars of the world, they give their prince the secrets they hold, they digest the creatia into what might be, so that He will always hold onto the things-that-aren't-known.

Mostly because it's uncertain who they follow.

Nice Banshee, but with your second creature, and a lot of other creatures I've seen, whatpossible advantage can a creature have with an exposed brain? Well, I'm going to make up one for Boethiah because it's sooo unfair that Mehrunes gets 3 and Boethiahs only gets a measly one. So how about an invisible creature( My Imagination Tanks are on low :P ) that inspire thoughts into man, mer, and beast thoughts that pretain to Boethiah's sphere(see sig). They would be shapeshifters in my opinion.

many "lesser daedra" including Dremora, Atronachs, Scamps, and probaly Xivlai, dont serve any greater daedra, they just choose to follow. Dremora have been fallowing Dagon recently, Scamp are too stupid to follow anything for long amounts of time, Atronachs have never served any daedra, and Xivlai... i dont know anything about.
