Let us NAME our Save-Games

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 1:43 am

If modding is the reasoning, game saves don't make a difference...

You're manipulating mod setting via a mod manager. So naming game saves makes difference. If your doing it right you have multiple profiles.

While nice, not a game breaker.

I don't think it's an excuse... just possibly the reason. I can't imagine that they want to highlight that the PC has more features. And I bet that they favor slick & polished... which might not come off as well on a keyboard-less device.

Something else I just noticed: The arena shown in the demo seems just as empty as the one shown in Oblivion.

I'll add I'd like a rotating quicksave slots.

Really helps if you have three quicksaves to chose from and helps prevent save corruption.

I think that the audience is only on one or two sides but you have a point.

Too often there was just way too few people in F3 and FONV.

Remember the empty casinos?

I did this by just naming the character what I wanted them for. explosives, shotguns, pistols, etc. then I would place those weapon types on the bed and then look at them for my save so that I have a quick picture of what it is, and the name.

in the fallouts, it was far worse in exteriors. everybody nailed in place, nobody going anywhere

(except if you had my Cheng's Eastside Laundry mod and had folks go wash their clothes ,-)

got somewhat better in skyrim.

hope it gets real good in fo4 :-)

Never thought of it, but with the save done before you mod, it's possible. Not a bad idea.

I could take it or leave it.

As long as you're rotating a set amount of saves you shouldn't have to worry about a name.. just whichever save is the oldest. For permanent saves, you just stand in front of something easily recognizable. The front gates of a town for instance.

They are mandatory to counter some gamebreaking bugs.

Sometimes, but with mature unofficial patches that is in my experience rarely necessary.
