Let's recap the possible FO4's DLC

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2016 1:08 pm

What was posted above was regarding the Western BoS, MWBoS and the Lyons (Eastern) Brotherhood. In fact the Lyons Brotherhood was probably more interactive with the wastelanders than the Western from Fallout 1.

Unless you meant Enclave.. In that case the East are the remnants of the original Enclave which is why I say nonsensically shoehorned because in Fallout 2 the Chosen One causes a nuclear explosion that kills all the Enclave aboard and what remaining Enclave in Navarro were slaughtered by the NCR. In New Vegas we see what should have logically been left of the Enclave.

I just prefer consistency over shoehorning is all.

Not sure if someone already posted this, but what about the National Oceanographic thingy-ma-bob? That little shack on the coast? There's almost nothing there save a couple of Mr. Handy's (Handies?) and some letters about the people working there. If we were to see an underwater expansion (Maybe find out that the Mirelurks have evolved into their own society, complete with worshiping a nuclear sub that crashed at the bottom of the ocean) This seems like a good place to start....

I'd also like to venture further into the Glowing Sea, maybe wipe out/join the Atom worshiper guys (I forgot their names, but the crazy folks who shoot radiation at you and won't shut up about Atom)

As for DLC I would like to see some type of new land expansion or new maps but there is a lot of places in the New England area they can explore for example, The groton CT subbase, Newport RI and the military base there, cape cod, the north woods in new hampsire and maine there are so many diffent places that can be listed. But i want DLC that will connect with the main game map and have a good back and forth flow in the story lines not like it is two different games. The main theme of fallout 4 seams to be the rebulding of socity and in a way creating a new nation. For example the settlement system is the rebuilding and conneting of towns and with the mintmen qest line seams to be unification. But the DLC needs to be indepent of the main quest it can inhance it but you sould be able to play the DLC no matter how you finish the main quest line. If new lands are introduced I want to beable to travel back and forth. Also posible connect settlements. I think a location like NYC would be great but way to big for a DLC and could be a good setting for fallout 5. One major thing I would like to see is more towns in the new lands not just settlements in the main game there really only a few populated towns to start with dimond ciy, bunker hill, valut 81, just to name some i dont want to only rely on the settlement systems to have towns to visit and explore.

As for patchs and small DLC I dont want to relly only on modders to make content. The expansion of the settlement system would be great ablity to make realistic towns I would like to see more imersion. Barbers, better stores a tattoo parlor, better bars and restaunts mabe with a singer to build mabe the abilty to assign a mayor or overseer of the town. Also I would like to see settlers atomaticly assined to diffent jobs it is relly anoying trying to run around adding jobs to all the settlers. I would be nice to see a settle decide on there own to be a guard or run the clinc. I also would like to see a posiblity of adding portal doors or locked doors to building I hate having NCP's wandering in a cool home i made for my self. I would like to see better and more realistic wepons and armor they can be 50's lore frendly like the 1919 and m1 garand. They could add some more stuff to the carractor creations like tattoos not just on the face.

those lazy devs should fill the southeastern landmass on the map that invisible walls prevent you from traversing.

I'd rather have Chicago be it's own game especially as it is bigger than Boston IRL

But Philly or in New England would be nice to see in an Expansion.

-The Abbey of the Road: secret christian monastery located somewhere to the west of The Commonwealth.

-Ronto: major post-war region located presumably in the ruins of Toronto Canada.

-Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard : Fairly famous places located near Boston.

-Maybe some nearby state capitals like Providence and Hartford.

Things I HIGHLY doubt we will see

-NYC.

-Philly.

-D.C.

It's funny because before the game released, I had hoped that the woman in that arena was a potential companion. Can someone please pick up the phone?... because I called it. Not sure they'll expand on the Combat Zone with DLC though, but I mean it's not like there's such a dearth of combat in this game that we'd really need an arena... I guess I understand why people like the idea so much though.

Here's a thing. Kind of a uh, note. What about... pirates? I mean everyone's been talking about underwater DLC and I know that's different from pirates but I, I don't think they'll just make a DLC completely centered around being underwater, you know? But post-apocalyptic pirates, living in post-apocalyptic pirate shanty towns along the coast, or Cape Cod or something? I dunno. It might be kinda cool.

Here's my thoughts on the matter.

Things I would like to see:

- Mother Ship Zeta 2 or Return to The Pitt (Either one but definitely not both)

- Remenant Enclave as one of two main factions in any DLC setting.

-underwater setting for atleast one dlc

DLC that takes place in a remote wooded/mountainous area (could be Canada, or just northern New England, excellent platform for remenant enclave hidden base)

Things I would not like to see:

- return to capital wasteland. If you want that play fo3, I want NEW content

-a DLC that goes back in time. Operation anchorage was my least favorite DLC and I really want to stay in the post-apocalypse

- anything that could lead to micro transactions

I don't want to marginalize your ideas, I'm sure there are many that will like it.

Personally though, I don't want to see any pre war DLC. Operation Anchorage in my opinion was a lousy addition. Anything pre war is essentially Call of Duty with RPG aspects. I would like any DLC to drive my character forward, not be a rememberance of the past.

Still thinking about our pip boy...

Why we can't have some upgrades for it? Maybe also a story about his creation. What we have is actually a prototype. I think could be interesting investigate about the Vault Tec activities. So yeah, a Vault Tec DLC

i didn't like operation anchorage either so i wouldn't want anything like that, but with the SS being from pre-war times i'd think something more interesting could be made in relation to the character rather than history/lore

I still have doubts for DLC like this. Maybe the Canada or some secret pre war chinese military bases. But nothing like this... Well maybe a possible European Union, and starting to invade Boston? Uhm maybe

I am kind of sick of the Enclave because they're just there to be. A villain. So if a DLC comes out with them included I'm going to honestly be a bit hesitant to play it.

One thing I'd like to see is something done with the Gunners - they were too big and too much of a presence to not have /something/ related to them. Pretty disappointed we couldn't join them. Another thing too is a raider group based on the Boston Tea Party or perhaps more historic-ish clothing like what Hancock wears.

^You would want to join the Gunners but not Enclave? Alright........ I guess everyone has their preferences...

Enclave are far too cool to be entirely eradicated from fallout games. Just imagine being able to wear that sweet hellfire armour all over again and command squads of enclave soldiers, possibly even have a mind-subjugated deathclaw as a bodyguard.

Well, yeah. There wasn't a lot of "evil" options imo and I kind of wish we could join the Gunners and kill them from the inside out or just become their leader.

and yeah, yeah I feel you but I - I honestly? yeah. I'd like to see that. you're pre-war and exactly what the Enclave wants. mutation free, and you were /there/.

Children of the Atom. How did they spread so big, so fast? Why are they in Boston? They don't seem peaceful. Do they force recruit? Is it a "With us or against us." Thing?
