Let's Remind Everyone...

C'mon people, tell me why YOU love Skyrim.

1. Elder Scrolls

The End.

Seriously though, I pretty much like everything that they have announced, mostly the new 3rd person camera, removal of athletics and acrobatics (you shouldn't be able to run faster than deer, and jump over Oblivion gates), and dragon shouts.

Cause you can RP that your feet hurt.

So I can roleplay a whiner? Yay! It will definitely help me associate with my avatar.

Yeah it will be GOTY..... the only thing we can compare too is TES game to TES game. As much I complain about the direction that they are going with TES, it's still better then anyone else can offer.

Don't think so, imo. I think Bethesda has it it them to make a decent game, but there's nothing in their track record that shows they have what it takes to make a GOTY

except their last like 4 or 5 games.

Well I'm only speaking for myself of course, but I didn't think they were all that great. But at least Bethesda's games have been incrementally improving over the years, so I'm hoping that Skyrim will be decent at least.

Decent? Calling Skyrim GoTY i bad enough, calling it decent is like... Calling Justin Beiber a man?

The deal was sealed when it was announced. I nearly cried.

Edit: Definitely pre-ordering the CE. I got 100 dollars to spend on it. My parents ought to have the rest covered.

I love it because while its not perfect (I've yet to play one perfect game, by the way), its the best game in its category in this generation. By that, I mean its the best open world sandbox fantasy RPG. Before I came across TES series, this was the type of game that I had been wishing for.

Its a living breathing world, with tons of lore and background stories. When you log into Morrowind or Oblivion, you almost feel like you are visiting a different world. Also, it doesn't force you into any cookie cutter class templates like most other RPGs do. You design your class. You live out the type of fantasy you want. Want to be a lone swordsman who wears nothing but clothing, but brandishes a mean two handed katana? You got it. Want to be a dark and brooding assassin? There you go. How about a holy Akatosh fearing Paladin who has sworn to vanquish all evil? Got that too. What about a great and powerful sorcerer who can move things with his mind and send objects and people flying all over the place by launching a massive high level fireball into a tavern full of people? Go ahead.

I was raised on DnD and Forgotten Realms. Playing games like TES allow me the chance to enter a similar world and live out my own fantasy.

Why do I love TES? Because its The ******* Elder Scrolls, thats why.

The mood on this forum from a small portion of users is ridiculous. Those who are simply criticising the game are in the right, but on the other hand... there are a few people whining about how Skyrim isn't perfect. Let's remind them why Skyrim WILL be a badass game.

1. It's the freaking Elder Scrolls

2. You get to beat the crap out of huge dragons

3. Dual wielding whatever you want.

4. A team of 8 working on dungeons.

5. 70ish voice actors

6. It's Skyrim. Talk about a rugged environment. It'll be an RPG at its best.

7. No omnipotent guards

8. More types of armor

9 SMITHING!

10. [Supposedly] larger main cities.

And so, so much more

P.S. Sorry, I just got myself excited again...

imo lame reasons, btw it svcks that you can't block with dual-weild.

It will be awesome but the reasons given here is not why i will play the game :>

I've no doubt that Skyrim will be amazing, and most likely the best game of the year.

I'm still going to moan though. :P I think the problem is, my expectations are so high. I don't just expect a good game, a GOTY game, or even an amazing game. I expect it to be one of the best games ever made. Previous TES games reached that level, so naturally, I expect Skyrim to be even better. With all the changes made, i'm just not seeing that happening anymore.

I've just been spoilt by past TES games. Maybe I should just accept that that level of greatness has passed and appreciate Skyrim for what it's going to be - a great game.

11. Radiant Story. It won't be exactly the same for everyone.

12. Unscripted Dragon battles. It's going to be different for everyone.

13. So many Dragon battles and more on YouTube when the game comes out. I love those. :)

14. Hours and hours of exploring a new world.

15. 7,000 steps to climb.
