Let's talk about something different than features and such.

I'm a reading most of the topics and I am a tiny bit tired of the many unnecessary concerns on this forum.I up for something different and relaxing that many people have in common. Let's talk about the music in the game. What kind of music or Instruments are you hoping for in the game? I doubt that this would happen in the game but i am hoping to hear a girl playing on a harp and that she sings like a angel (In a small village or something). I think something like that could really set a nice mood in the world of Skyrim.

Something very similar like this:

I'd like to see NPCs getting drunk and fist fight in the tavern.

I think the more important question is how are we going to be able to use/level up our musical abilities if we only have three attributes?

Seriously though, I'd like to see lutes, drums, simple woodwin instruments, etc.

I'm hoping for bards that sing of your exploits, their songs lyrical content changing depending on the choices players make.

That sounds a bit too Oblivionesque to me.
Something by the best pop band that ever existed might be fiting.
?Victorialand? by the great Cocteau Twins has a couple of tracks that'd go well with snowy mountains.

It would be neat if you were in a tavern and some wandering bard person came in and sat down and started to tell a story near the hearth or maybe got the olde lute out and started playing some Nordic folk songs. :D

While I have absolutely no use for background music, I always turn that off, it would be rather cool to have minstrels in the game that played actual music. Like a band of wandering minstrels that travel around and you'll run into them from time to time, either in a tavern or on the road. They need to have a fairly lengthy repertoire to hold my interest though.

Yeah, I hear that. No matter how great the background music is. Ambiance is more my flavor. I'm not really sure about the traveling part. Taverns and such would be cool though. Playing the same tired tune would get old fairly quick. Throw a couple of different bands, or w/e (different styles of music) in there to spice things up a bit.

Not sure how they could really pull if off. Even if you have an extensive play list you'd still walk in more times than once and hear the same tune and go: 'ugh not this song again'. Would be cool none the less.

I'd love to hear some organ music... B3... only joking. But I would think it would be cool to hear a pipe organ since I think it would fit pretty well in these types of games.
I always love to hear fanfares and pieces for the harp

Yes, please, music.
Street artists, religious music in temples, it would be great.

Maybe I could find and play a 'fat lute' and beg for coins.

The ultimate Easter Egg would be to find Immortal blasting in some hidden icy region of Skyrim.

It would be great to see travelling "Lautars" (or "Lautari" more accurately) but, being a musician, I don't think many minstrels would travel around with that weather. That said I still don't get how something as detailed as TES always missed Bard-type classes, with skills and attributes to match the class.

Gone off topic again, damn....Music in-game. Do everything you've done up to now, it suits me fine

I like fast paced organs, but perhaps a slow, peaceful piano would suffice when exploring.
