From what I remember several Railroad side quests were about securing routes so that Synths could be taken out of the Commonwealth.
Seeing as this is a job from the Valentine Detective Agency, I'll be disappointed if I can't take Nick with me.

Considering the quests are about a Nick's case, I'm sure we can at least bring Nick over, and there is no reasons to not bring other companions with us if Nick is there. I just hope the other companions get dialogues they can say throughout the quests. Skyrim companions are just like stature, so there is no point in bringing them since they are all generic.
Even by after annexation, Canada should still have distinct culture though and the Northern part of Canada, especially is more French instead of English, so the whole Americana thing wouldn't work out.
I hope not, I don't see why we need another Dawnguards vs vampires when they could expand on existing factions and make them more unique. Many people complain about the factions feeling unfulfilled, so there is a chance for them to improve on them.
Just hope nick valentine isn't necessary to start/travel to the DLC
They're basically 'clear dungeon x' quests. So whether you've played it or not, you've experienced it already with another faction no doubt.
I think his assistant can give cases regardless. I assume it will default to her if Nick isn't around for some reason.
I imagine since its his detective agency giving the quest, he will probably have some dialogue to that effect.
The higher priced the better. Make my season pass worth it, Bethesda.
No i understand and assume i will have to talk to him regarding the quest there. I just hope i can get to far harbor/maine without him or without starting the quest.
Canada should have been involved in the war and should have received nukes as well. First as a natural ally to the US, it's likely that they entered the war along with the US. Even if they didn't, then the Chinese attacking Alaska means that they must attack through Canada in order to reach the US mainland. Which means that Canada would have entered the war whether they wanted to or not.
I'm guessing the assistant will be the one who give the quest since she's essential and Nick can be killed.
When can Nick be killed? I thought all companions are essential.
Nick can be killed if you piss him off enough and leave. Once he's no longer your companion, you can kill him. Note, you can do that with all the companions, depending whether they have quests that make them essential. Like you can't kill Hancock while Silver Shroud is active, even if he's no longer your companion after pissing him off.
anyone seethe large skeleton in the picture? Sea Monsters confirmed
It surely will be fun.
We may even get to meet Feral Synth Ghoul ?!
Anyway, I am excited to meet new people and fight new enemies !
They at least are when they're in your party, but a lot of them become non-essential when they're not traveling with you and any important quests they're involved in get wrapped up.
Yeah, there'll probably be a way to get to Far Harbor without having to interact with Nick, although can't you rescue Nick without having to worry about the main quest? It might be something like Dragonborn, where the main storyline is triggered by events in the main quest, but you can also just travel to the island freely and start the DLC questline when you get there.
I don't think synths can become ghouls. They have high radiation resistance, and their physiology seems to stay the same, they can't gain weight, grow old, don't need to eat or sleep, and love Fancy Lads Cake. Those who love Fancy Lads Cakes can't become ghouls.
Synths such as Danse and Harkness were 400 miles from Boston as far back as Fallout 3 due to the Railroad, and Fallout 4 says the Capital Wasteland branch IS STILL GOING.
The Railroad's known operations go as far back as 20+ years, and, if Deacon is to believed, nearly 60 in total. Synths can be basically anywhere across the east coast by now.
The Children of Atom must take the ghoullified perk.
They are still essential even when they're not traveled with you. Believe me, I tried killing Piper many times when I accidentally shoot a settler and she got pissed. You need to get them to leave forever for them to be killable.
