Why do some of them want me really badly as their puppet toy? Why do my favorites never come play tag? Is it possible to "hear" every deity? How many do we get to encounter?

I run into a lot of underworld immortals and I've "heard" that orc god. And there was the lady who gave me that shiny sword - boy I'm awful with names.

Who's your favorite demi-god and why did you pick him/her? My fav is Akatosh (got his buff statue in my Hearthfire basemants) but I don't know that much about him. Or any of them really. I did note that sometimes I think they are depicted as female when you see their write ups they're male? Esp in those loading screen hints. Any1 else notice that?

I assume you're talking about the Aedra and Daedra.

Hermaeus Mora is my favorite Prince and Talos my favorite of the Nine.

Dibella comes in second...hehe.

Edit: You meet and serve 15 Daedric Princes (should be a limit) and you don't meet any Aedra (though you do quests about them, not for them).

I don't consider Talos an aedroth or daedroth, he didn't give up a part of himself to make Mundus and he isn't completely disconnected from the working of Mundus kinda like Lorkhan.

My favorites will always be the Reclamations, Herma-mora, Hircine and especially Boethiah. He was one of Lorkhan's biggest supporters of the endeavor and wore ebony which is said to be Lorkhan's blood, Boethiah is such a bad-ass he wears the blood of another god. None of the Aedra appeal to me, I generally ignore them.

Well, basically, you're a walking engine of destruction and pretty much everyone realizes it after the first few questlines. I don't actually think the PC becomes the "Champion" of most Daedric Princes if you do their quest, they're merely making a pitch for worshiping them. Only Nocturnal, Hermaeus Mora, and a few others try to make you their servant.

My favorite deities are Akatosh, Hermaeus Mora, Dibella, and TALOS.

It's kind of hilarious that my Dunmer would totally have a shine to all four in his house if they'd let me.

Dibella(art and beauty), Sheogorath(madness and creativity) and Vaermina(dreams/nightmares).

I wouldn't worship them, and save for my Dibellite Breton Scholar from Daggerfall, none of my characters do either.

As for gender, yeah it can get trippy sometimes. I assume you mean Boethiah, who's guilty of this more than the other daedric princes. They're technically genderless, so I usually imagine them as amorphous blobs of abstract ideas tinged with whatever sphere they represent. Or planets with faces.
